If you don't mind the older look, go and have a meal at Weaver's. Stopped here for breakfast on the way out of town. The place looks like it probably did in the 1960's, but the food and service were very good. Very friendly!!!

I have been traveling from the Baltimore-DC area for well close to 50 years to Pittsburgh Pa. to either visit family, friend or attend an event. This time it is for my 50th High School Reunion and like most times in the past 20 years I decided to stop at " Weavers" in Hancock Md. to break up the drive... More

Service was acceptable, Food was very good. Above average cost for food, portions were acceptable. The baked bread was good, didn't get a chance for a slice of pie. I will say that the Caramel Nut Apple Pie was $18.99 and same pie from local Mennonite stores for same pie are $11.99 - $13.99. The silverware was excessively dingy, men's... More

Their turkey and dressing was very substandard. The turkey was stringy and devoid of flavor; it obviously was frozen then warmed. The dressing was a ball of stuffing that was over baked; the crust was hard and tough, and the flavor was lacking. Even more disturbing was the boisterous wait staff speaking very loudly behind the counter about mindlessly personal... More

Service was attentive, food came at just the right speed. Had fried mac and cheese wedges for an appetizer, and they were good. Burger for dinner, just ok, a little dry I thought. Chocolate cream pie for dessert, glad I saved room- best part of the meal. Nice local place, nothing spectacular, but I would go again if I am... More

My husband and I stopped there for an early dinner on Monday night of this week. The special was pan fried pork chops for 11.49. This came with two sides or a salad and one side. I opted for the salad and one side. We were the only folks in the restaurant and I can now see why. I received... More

Baked goods were awesome. Dinner roll, yes the dinner roll was the best part of the meal. The pork chops were a little fatty, but good. Try the baked beans! Coconut cream pie is their specialty and it does not disappoint. Price was a little higher than I expected.

So we were in the car for 6 hours and with 2.5 hours more, we stopped for dinner off 70. A diner with 10 swivel bar stools, 11 booths and about 8 tables. Nothing fancy at all, lol, flower and stripe wallpaper and blue and burgendy colors. [Church assembly chairs at the tables, if you know what that means] We... More

After a ride on the Western Maryland Rail Trail (WMRT) our group stopped at Weavers. It's been a while since we ate here but the food is good as usual. My wife had a spinach salad, and I had the egg salad sandwich on toasted rye. Of course the standout here are the pies. Although I don't normally have dessert... More
