Great cream of crab soup, nut and fruit salad, wedge salad, crab cakes, and cioppino! For dessert, I enjoyed the mango sorbet with a hint of lime to cool some of the hot spice in the cioppino. I have enjoyed cioppino on the west coast; but, this was one of the best versions with a lobster tail vs. dungeness crab. A couple of slices of sourdough bread would have been nice in the bread basket. We will return; hopefully on a night when we can witness the sunset! It was cloudy outside.

We have always enjoyed dining here. The food has been consistently good and we are eager to support our local business during the pandemic. We had dinner there on a week day and they were fairly busy. The dining room was properly spaced, and the servers were conscientious about being attentive while maintaining proper distance. However, there was one gentleman (owner or GM?) walking around the entire restaurant, greeting people, chatting with guests who were seated, and bringing drinks. He had his mask on below his nose most of the time, and the rest of time below his chin. We want our restaurants to stay open. But it takes every single person to do the right thing in order for that to happen.

We have been stopping at the Narrows for 20 or more years. We believe over this time we have explored most, if not all of the best seafood restaurants on the eastern shore. We continue to return to the Narrows. Chesapeake bay jumbo lump crab cakes and rich cream of crab soup aside they also have a remarkable crab tarte, excellent Cioppino, in season outstanding crab gazpacho, made from scratch almost everything and a beautiful view out the window overlooking the water. This is a great seafood restaurant whose excellence continues today.

I have lived in Grasonville for 20 years going to Narrows was always a place you wanted to do dinner but I will tell you we were there yesterday I had the chicken with bacon and Swiss cheese it was not even edible. The prices are crazy for the quality of the food and the server could not care less that I was not happy with my lunch I will never again step foot in Narrows again. I would not recommend it to anyone.

This overpriced, aging on the water restaurant still smells of the sodden bay but it's food just smells. It is overpriced and tasteless. The once proud tradition of Maryland seafood has been totally destroyed right here. It's not about covid. Covid doesn't affect how you cook nor does raising the prices improve the taste. Fail! Naturally the locals will continue to boringly repeat over and over how wonderful it is but the reality is that they'd stick their hands in a food blender if it were "traditional" around here. No to this now failed excuse!

If they work really hard, they may eventually be mediocre. Service was slipshod, with a bungled appetizer course and a waitress who could not be found to rectify it. Main course was fish that was appropriately cooked and seasoned, but was served on top of potatoes that were, at best, lukewarm. The accompanying green beans were a bit on the cool side, but as a saving grace, had been boiled to submission and thus rendered devoid of flavor.

On our way home from BWI Airport stopped for a late lunch/ early dinner ( so i dont have to cook, plus taking home leftovers) Wonderful from start to finish from the cold Stella Artois draft, crisp calamari, and our late lunch entrees..I had fried oyster Ceasars salad with shoestring onion rings and my husband had lunch special seafood cioppini on angel hair pasta. Linda was a great server as we dined on the enclosed deck. They are under renovation but no construction noise. Will definitely be back.

We had not been back to the Narrows for a few years but we were looking forward to our dinner. It was a rainy week day night early in May and we had no trouble finding a table with a lovely view of the Narrows. The service was friendly and the menu offered a number of delightful choices but I am sad to say we found the food to be okay at best and the price to be very high for what we had. The oysters served three ways were a bit small and the stuffing underwhelming. I had the crab cakes, which were good but not great in an area where most everyone makes a great crab cake. Sadly the quality of the food does not justify the price.

On a dreary Saturday afternoon I met a friend for lunch at The Narrows on Kent Island. I checked the reviews on Trip Advisor & I felt most people had a good experience there so we tried it. They were right! The views are spectacular overlooking the water. We had a table by the windows and it was beautiful despite the weather. We had a new waitress who was sweet and very helpful. The menu and specials offers many fish dishes. I had the crab cakes & they were terrific. There was a lot of crab and next to no filler. My companion had the fish tacos and she really enjoyed them. For dessert we shared “mousse in a box” with raspberry sauce. It was so rich but absolutely yummy. I would definitely recommend this place & I will be returning 🍴🦀

We arrived at 6:30 pm for our reservation on Tuesday, 13 February. The dining and bar area was less than half full. The hostess led the way to the bar area. I said we had reservations for the dining room and would like to be seated there. She looked a bit put out, led us back to the dining room and we were seated. Waitress arrived straight away, very friendly, and professional, took our drink order (1 alcohol drink), and promptly returned. We placed our dinner order and was promptly served. A bowl of cream of crab and cup of half and half was great. Side of Sherry was available. Single order of Caesar Salad was ok. Baked Oysters Rockefeller (6) were small, overcooked, dry, and overpowered with the toppings. Narrows Crab Imperial was ample in portion but dry throughout and bland. The Applewood bacon strip overpowered any hint of taste of crab or the Imperial sauce. The garlic mashed potatoes were tasteless, cold, and small in portion. The green beans were also bland but warm. The plate for the Crab Imperial was hastily plated for service with what seemed like a double portion of green beans placed on top of the garlic mashed potatoes. Both dinner plates were messy with no attention to presentation. We had a couple of bites and asked for our check. The total bill was $130.00. Very overpriced for the portion and quality of the meal. Very disappointed and will not return.

Went here for dinner on a Wednesday with my daughter and her boyfriend. It was not crowded at all. Had a wonderful server, I believer her name was cindy.... not sure older lady she was just delightful. Our dinner was fantastic as well as our meals. Menu is mainly seafood obviously being on chesapeake md but they do have steak and chicken. Because of covid, seating is carefully apart from eachother no worries there. Had two bottles of wine and we are definitely going back!!!!! love love love highly recommend. I had petit filet, kids had crabcake appetizers they said was fabulous. Cheesecake for dessert. Will definitely be back.

Four of us for lunch amid the corona virus and The Narrows is doing their part. Masks, social distancing, etc. I am doing five stars because I love this place but honestly two things seemed (and were) different ... 1. The creme of crab seat is still delicious but my version did not quite have the abundance of crab meat as in past servings. It's still as good as you can find. 2. And my "what???!!!" is about them doing away with the warm chocolate bread pudding dessert. WHAT!!?? It's been my favorite like forever and now I can't get it? I drove two hours believing I would top off my crab cakes with their chocolate bread pudding, ice cream, whipped cream, etc. One word, "RATS." Waterside tables or tables beside the waters; a great restaurant.

The Narrows Restaurant has been our favorite for many years, but last night, a MONDAY of all nights, they took it up to a new level of excellence. With recent renovations completed from what we could tell, the ambiance of the place is better than ever. The view of the water, even this time of year, is beautiful. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival and seated on the deck overlooking that gorgeous view. Our server greeted us and brought us two of the best Manhattans we have ever had. We started with the Oyster sampler, 6 large and fresh oysters prepared three ways, all of which were amazing. Our entrees were the herb crusted salmon and the trout. Both melted in your mouth and the sides were just as delicious as the entrees. The service was and always is first class all the way. We cannot say enough good things about The Narrows restaurant and we look forward to visiting again very soon!

Such a wonderful place that we always make sure to arrange a stop here for a meal when we are in the area. The food is outstanding and perfectly prepared. Service is always so professional and yet still friendly. The soups are so good and I always love the Gazpacho with lump crab meat on top. The crab cakes melt in your mouth. We will always find a way to stop art the Narrows when we travel here.

Restaurant staff were very accommodating of our request to make reservation later due to later arrival of our flight. When we got to the restaurant, we were seated at a lovely table in the newly built porch facing the marina. (This is a great enhancement and quite an investment for the owners, and well worth it to us. Quieter, and loved the ambiance.) Food was excellent too, crabcakes were exceptional. They had an appetizer of fried green tomatoes topped with lump crabmeat and locally grown corn which was also wonderful. The sunset was equally memorable.
