Local restaurant in an historic building form 1902. Interesting selection of micro-brews and the menu has everything from meatloaf to greubens (prime rib or turkey and cheese). The lamburger is outstanding as is the fish and chips. Different than your typical 'fast food' restaurant. Server was very friendly on a quiet night.

Service was great in keeping appetizers coming to a group get together. The food was good too. We could laugh a lot and not bother others. Had a great time.

It would have been a four but the service was erratic and slow. It's been about three years since my last visit. As expected the food was excellent. I enjoyed a grilled salmon. All others enjoyed their choices. Service did not live up to expectations. otherwise a good choice if in the area.

This place was recommended to us by another merchant. It's half bar and half dining area in a historic building. We got Balsamic Salmon Sandwich and Lemon Oregano Chicken with a side of fried sweet potato and salad. The veggie ingredients were fresh. The chicken was quite tasty, and the sandwich delicious. The sweet potato was fried perfect.

They have live bands on the weekends, which is pretty cool. I have not tried much of their food but I have had their burgers and it was pretty good. Drinks are good. Service is pretty good. I have never eaten downstairs in the restaurant area but upstairs you have the bar. So you go up to get a drink... More

I make a point of coming here when I visit Gaithersburg, and I always enjoy their beers and burgers. I may lack variety, but they cover the basics so well I don't see the point of branching out. The setting is pleasing and the service is very friendly.

I've been to this place several times and have found nothing offensive about it. The food is reasonable and it's a good place to get together with friends. I haven't found anything I just really love about it, but i do like the fact that it's got the feel of a pub - not like a warehouse like several new... More

Had dinner here with a work colleague based on a recommendation. I only travel to the area for business, so getting out to the local places is always a treat. There is plenty of public parking (at least when I was there). It wasn't super busy (Monday, 6pm) and as I soon as I walked in I was intrigued. It... More

I don't need to travel to get there. It is only a mile or two from my house. I can always get a good meal there.

Super friendly and informative bartenders. Love the 2nd floor bar, and the outdoor patio must be great during the summer. Neat, old, brick building- makes you feel like an instant local. There even is Golden Tee Golf video game which we played as we hadn't seen one in years. Nice place to spend after work.

J.A. Belt building is considered the oldest commercial property in Gaithersburg. The building has recently undergone a complete historic restoration and is listed on the National Historic Registry. The marriage of the old and new in this historic building creates a unique environment well suited for the reproduction of our turn of the century tavern. Hand-crafted beers and an excellent American menu keeps them coming back!
