It is true, it is a hole in a wall attached to a gas station. Parking is scarce and the inside seating isn't any better. The portion size is large and the prices reasonable. The food was ok but not what we expected. Glad others liked it but we won't be back.

This place has low prices, good variety, good size portions, and a fast service. It's not romantic or fashionable. It's also very small, you may or may not find a table to sit down.

i heard about this place and finally tried it. very good. the guacamole was good, maybe a bit salty but good with lots of chopped tomatoes. The tacos were great and the salsa bar was a nice touch to add what you want on your taco. The only annoyance was the door chimes that kept going on.

Wow--I had been wanting to try this place after reading numerous rave reviews, and it did not disappoint. The menu was enormous and varied, and although I'm not a fan of specialties like tongue or liver, the fact that they offer them speaks to the authenticity of the restaurant. The salsa/toppings bar was another surprising touch in this small establishment,... More

We ordered to go and loved it. Ordered Pozole soup and apastor tacos and a carne asada burrito. Amazing! Low cost for amazing food! Go go go!

Everything they say is true, it's in a gas station convenience store, sitting is cramped, they sell liquor and they make truly wonderful Mexican food. Basic street food took me back to the streets of Mexico. Vamanos!!

Don't be worried that there is no parking and the restaurant is attached to a convenience store and gas station. Walk inside and you'll see like a dozen folks in action cranking out first rate tacos for the hungry hordes. I had the short rib taco and beef tongue. I'm usually not quite that adventurous - but my companions convinced... More

Like the rest of the reviews have stated, font be fooled by the location! Yes its a gas station and the locale is in the liquor part of the store, but the food will make you forget where you are! The prices are a bit pricey but well worth it, and the tacos de lengua are 3.60 each and the... More

This is a small restaurant and liquor store that sells wonderful tacos! Seating is limited, so I would say it is probably better for take out than to count on finding a seat. Great value!

When a friend first told me about Taco Bar I was reluctant to try it. A Taco and Beer/Wine store in a gas station along the highway sounds like a stomach ache waiting to happen. But, after 3 separate people recommended it to me highly, I figured I'd give it a go. You must do the same! These are the... More

It's part of a "Washingtonian" gas station complex - I think it's related to the Taco Bar that you have listed on Russell (also in Gaithersburg). It has eat-in & carryout.
