We called on 12/9 for reservations for 21 during the peak holiday season and were able to get a private dining room for a party of 21 two Fridays before Christmas. The service and food were absolutely outstanding. Special Event Coordinator, Rachael, did everything we...More

What a treat! Everything was perfect: from the magical atmosphere, and the beautifully authentic clothes the servers were wearing, to the absolutely best Indian food I've had anywhere in the DC area. The butternut soup was nourishing and tasty, and the lamb korma was divine....More

IMO Ananda is the best restaurant in the Columbia, MD. It serves food made with farm to table ingredients, much of it organically grown. The ambiance is superb, fireplaces going in the winter and open air in good weather. Their weekend brunch buffets are also...More

The food is great. My chicken biryani was the best I’ve ever had. But the noise level on a Saturday early evening was quite loud. Service was so-so. Our food took almost 45 minutes. Hostess told us we could order happy hour half-price cocktails, but...More

A colleague invited me to a lunch at Ananda. First thing I noticed was that there were no exterior signage on the building yet the restaurant has a strong following. Can't say I have ever seen that. Impressive stand alone building. I wouldn't call them...More

Truly a wonderful experience. While the restaurant is quote a large venue it really feels intimate, cozy and warm with number of somewhat private seating areas and fireplaces - really charming. Cocktails are fun and tasty. I was impressed with the variation of glass styles...More

We had the whole Goa fish (bronzini), the fish curry (cod), and naan. The entrees were served with a reasonable portion of rice and saag. The food is beautifully seasoned and light. Also enjoyed the wine from India - Sula Vineyards Chenin Blanc. It’s fruity...More

DCTravelers1, Thanks so much for mentioning the value of the buffet. It gives Ananda an opportunity to clarify a few things. The buffet contains over 19 items, and it's all-you-can-eat. If you ordered everything on the buffet menu, you'd be in for a bill of approximately $150. We also have cocktails for $3 during brunch. All our meat is pasture-raised, and we buy almost everything locally. Everything is made from scratch in-house. We are very proud of the value that we offer our guests. Here is a full list of everything that is on the buffet, listed with the corresponding lunch prices: Chicken Tikka Masala 11 Palak Paneer 9 Roasted Banana Challah French Toast Caserole 11 Navrattan Curry 9 House-Cured salmon 11 Chicken Chaat 5 Mixed green salad 5 Bindi Pyaz 15 Tandoori Chicken 18 Lamb Vindaloo 13 Ragda Tikkis with Chana 6 Kulu Kofta 9 Kerala Cakes 11 Chocolate Cake 7 Rice Pudding 5 Gulab Jamun 5 Daal 9 Naan 2 Thank you, again, for giving us the opportunity to address this for future customers. We are so glad you liked the food!
