Amazing diner with amazing staff my husband got a t-bone that was about 2 inches thick cooked to perfection home fries and egg and scrambled egg and cheese I got the Rio grande burger oh my God it was so good We could not eat...all of it We took half of it home both of us did we'll recommend we will go againMore
staff is friendly, servings are large, the greek portion of the menu needs improvement because some stuff tastes like mexican mixed with greek, that was dissapointing. they have good specials. i would return. I like their open face hot turkey.
We were hungry and tired. A diner?? A fancy name for a greasy spoon. And seafood; Well, Essex is on the Chesapeake Bay. But, to be fair, I wasn't expecting much; and I wasn't disappointed. I was stunned and astounded. FANTASTIC. Crab cakes were delicious....My father and I went crabbing when I was a child and we made our own crab cakes---with crab meat and just essential binder. After moving from Baltimore, became accustomed to 'crab cakes' with 10% crab, 30% other fish and 75% binder. Was wonderful to be back in Essex at the diner.More
We don’t know why, but the breakfast food here has changed not for the better. The bread, toasted or otherwise, is now thicker and harder to chew. Twice now when I’ve been here in June, the home fries tasted like they were either made with...two day old grease or just reheated from days before. The current home fries are nasty.
The food here used to be much better in the past but has changed for the worse. Gratefully the service is still very kind and friendly.More
