AWESOME!

I have been ordering from Hunan Legend for years. They know me very well. We pretty much order the same thing everytime...I love the shrimp rolls and order 8 to 10 orders at a time.My husband & Granddaughter have their favorites. Even during the Pandemic the food stays AWESOME!

It's My "Go To" for Chinese Food

I don't bother with any other Chinese restaurants in the Columbia/Ellicott City area unless I have a hankering for Thai drunken noodles, and then I go to Asian Palace. But Hunan Legend is constant, dependable and delicious. On my last lunch visit I had chicken and black bean sauce and was extremely happy with it. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

Disappointed to be turned away for dine in.

Tried to dine in on a Monday but were turned away. Apparently they only do carry out on Monday’s. Hopefully management realizes turning away customers is a bad way to survive in this economy. Literally took my money next door to their competitors.

Excellent Chinese Food

Every menu item is exceptionally tasty and fresh. Huge menu variety and portions are large. Take out available. Great service with moderate prices.

Always great food!

We have been going for years and always enjoy the experience. At present, we have to get curbside pickup, still great, and will continue to patronize this restaurant. Hopefully, we can get back to normal soon.

Stop Steady and a Good

This place is my comfort food place. Reliable. I have always found their hot and sour soup my favorite, dark and rich and loaded with tofu. Their jumbo shrimp dishes are my favorite, both General Tsos shrimp and house special shrimp. Very much a family atmosphere.

Delicious food !

We took our friend out to lunch at Hunan Legend on a Saturday in mid July. All three of us enjoyed our food. I had Cashew Chicken which was the best I have ever had. The other two guests enjoyed their soup and entrees. The tea was very good too. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The seating area was attractive and spacious.

Sunday evening visit

I have been before and it is definitely a carryout place. I found this again as I waited about five minutes to be seated while they filled orders and answered the phone. I was surprised to find a relatively full dining room. Usually I am one of two or three eating in, but this evening most tables were full. I still rate it average. The hot and sour soup was not as good as it usually is and the Singapore Rice Noodles were as expected.

Tasteless - don’t bother eating here

Ordered online for lunch - a Szechuan beef dish that had tons of carrots and no spice whatsoever. And a seafood dish that also had no taste at all. Both looked good - but a waste of time. Don’t bother eating here - you could order a frozen entree from a a grocery store and do better

Disappointing!

Was visiting family for the holiday, and went for dinner on Black Friday. The won ton soup was incredibly good, and the best I've had anywhere! The barbequed spare ribs weren't very meaty, overcooked, and extra sauce was poured over them. The egg roll was a bit overcooked as well but tasty. The king po beef was smothered in sauce with only red peppers and peanuts. I asked the manager about the dish, and she said most people like extra sauce. If you're one of them, them go for it, but if not, you better ask for light sauce. I couldn't eat it but my husband didn't mind it. Next time, I'm ordering a different dish, light sauce!

I went to lunch with a group of 24 people.I had Honey Sesame Chicken lunch special.It came with soup and an egg roll.It was very tasty and the price was very reasonable.I would go back again.

Go to place for high quality take-out

This small restaurant set-back in local strip mall is easy to miss if you're not looking for it. Besides having sit down service, it is our favorite take-out place, seemingly open 365 days a year offering call in or web service ordering - typically ready in 25-30 minutes. My personal favorite is Peking duck cooked nice and crispy served with Chinese cabbage and hunan sauce. Everyone's must have is the shrimp fried rice, best that I have tasted in all the Chinese restaurants I've eaten over the years.

Went for lunch today. Fist time having lunch here. Always enjoyed having dinner here. Just want to say hat theirs is the tastiest Chinese/Thai/Indian food I have had in the Columbia area. There is a lot of competition for Chinese food in Columbia and I have tried a lot of them. Most of the other places food is very bland but not here. Excellent soups including the sweet and sour and the egg drop.The lunch menu is extensive (4 pages) and their lunch prices are very reasonable, $8.95 and $9.95 for most dishes includes an egg roll and fried rice.

Excellent Chinese Food

My wife and I have been to Hunan Legend many times because it is convenient and the food is fine. The prices are reasonable and the service is good. Nothing fancy, just a fine dinner.
