huge breakfast with a mountain of has browns...enough for two..loved the chicken and dumplings...just the way I like it..thick as a milkshake with nice plump dumplings and a good amount of chicken..the menu consists mostly of comfort foods...nothing great but everything I've tried I enjoyed...the...Chesapeake city location is much better than the elkton location....it is a place that you can afford to take the family and it is super casual attireMore
We stopped in thinking this was a good place for a hot dogs and were mistaken. We ordered two simple dogs, a Coney dog and regular hot dog with mustard and raw onion. We ordered take out to eat in the car. It does not...take long to get to the car from the restaurant but by the time I got there, the hot dogs were cool/cold with more wrinkles than my Grandma. They had one job, put mustard and raw onion on one dog but they forgot the mustard on it! The Coney dog was listed as onion, chili sauce and cheese but what were they thinking? Beans in the chili..no,no,no! Cheese was also on the dog not mustard! The roll dwarfed the dog which was a 1/4 lb wrinkled cold monster with cold chili. I write this as a successful trip because we have just discovered the magnetic North Pole of bad hot dogs. More
Jo Jo's Super Dogs is a little misleading. They have great dogs but it is really a diner with all the usual diner food. I love Chicago style hot dogs but they are hard to find in this area. Sonic dropped theirs but fortunately Jo...Jo's is practically across the street and offers a better version. Prices are reasonable.
The place is bright, airy and clean. There are booths, tables, and counter seating available. Waitstaff is friendly and attentive. The menu has a wide variety of hot dogs, sandwiches, and breakfast items. It gets very busy on weekend lunch time but service is fast.
I went a second time and had a pizza burger. Sloppy but good by diner standards. A frozen beef patty like most diners use but the cheese, marinara and roll were delicious, but sloppy. Fries were the frozen coated type that now seem so popular but I dislike.
There is a competing diner directly across the street but Jo Jo's is the one to go to if you want more casual fare.More
