The ambiance is charming and cozy, making it a perfect spot for a romantic dinner or a memorable gathering with couples, family and friends. The menu is a delightful fusion of flavors. The selection of appetizers is impressive, and the options allow for sharing and...trying a variety of dishes. The bruschetta with grilled peaches and brings out the taste of summer. Chef Dans Cream of Baltimore has that savory taste of cinnamon and spices. The Baltimore soup boasts a velvety texture and a robust flavor that combines the creaminess and the subtle sweetness and flavorful strands of crab meat. The Moroccan Chicken Galantine Tagine is a delightful combination of tender chicken, infused with a medley of traditional spices. The tagine is allowing the flavors to meld together and create a rich and savory sauce that coats the chicken beautifully. The Cheesecake Berry features a smooth and creamy cheesecake base that melts in your mouth with each forkful. The velvety texture and just the right amount of sweetness make it a perfect canvas for the burst of berry goodness that follows, the chef personalized the dessert by adding chocolate, it’s so nice and personal.More

We celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary yesterday with a luncheon at the the Elkridge Furnace Inn. We were given two beautiful rooms plus bar area plus another alcove where buffet items were served. There was also a lounge room upstairs where the kids could hang...out. The food was fantastic. We had three entrees: beef tips dijonnaise, orange glazed salmon, and chicken marinara with prosciutto. That was all great but the potatoes lyonnaise and the vegetable medley were all from their gardens and were extraordinary. The Inn is circa 1744 and is beautiful, charming, and cozy inside and out with period furnishing. The service was friendly, responsive and just incredible. We got there an hour early to put out decorations and make sure the room was laid out exactly as we desired. Out 35 guests were tremendously impressed and complimentary. We will treasure this experience always. Thank you Elkridge Furnace Inn!More

Four of us went there to celebrate a birthday. It's been a long time since I was last there and I'm sorry to say I will not return. My husband had the filet mignon. He ordered it medium well and it came medium and was...tough. No vegetable was included - just a few slices of potato. I had the chicken with smashed root vegetables. It was ok but I definitely would not order it again. The service we received was excellent although the restaurant was practically empty for a Sunday evening.More

Definitely higher end dining. Was able to get a table while I was in town this week and enjoyed a couple of the dishes while at dinner. I absolutely loved the ricotta and fig appetizer and the chocolate espresso brûlée was absolutely amazing. One of...the best I've ever had. Hope to return and try some dinner entrees.More

I was really hoping to love this place. Had a bad feeling when the parking lot was unable to handle quantity of cars last night. First, the positive….our waiter was phenomenal and very tolerant. We ordered three appetizers for starters. The fried oysters were definitely...frozen and all breading. Bruschetta was so hard I could barely cut it with a knife, let alone take a bite. Toppings were pathetic. Onion soup was weak and too vinegary, not enough cheese and no croutons. Entrees we’re either under seasoned or over seasoned. No persimmons on salad which was also the teeniest plate I’ve ever seen.Very expensive for mediocre, no, sub par for a restaurant with their reputation.More

It has been many years since our last visit. We are not likely to return. We were embarrassed to have taken our two Danish guests to what used to be a special place. The menu, food preparation and presentation were very good. The wait staff--both...men--were unqualified, lacking training, experience, and coordination. One example tells the story. I ordered a fine vintage French red wine from their extensive (and impressive) list. The waiter broke the cork, which was old, so should have been handled carefully, and with an appropriate tool and technique. He used a screw, but inserted into only the top half of the cork. When attempting to extract the lower stubborn half of the cork, he was shaking and turning the bottle (not acceptable for an old wine with cast) the cork half that remaine in the bottle neck crumbled. He apologized, then said that he would take it back and decant it. NO! A while later he reappeared with another bottle of the same vintage (good) then repeated his inept cork-pulling technique. The bottle shook. The cork broke. This time on his second try the remaining half of the cork came out whole. I was not offered the cork for a nose test. He started to pour the first glass in my spouse's glass, which I stopped. I told him, my glass first, as is proper! The wine was good, accepted. OK, only now it may be served to our guests. In a restaurant with many $100+ wines in their cellar, the wait staff should have been trained as to their proper opening and serving. Evidently not. The long-time owner and knowledgeable chef, an intertesting and highly professional individual, came out to our table twice, with information about our various dishes, and a friendly greeting. Good bye.More

Party of five. When we arrived it turned out to be restaurant week so there was a restaurant week menu. Food was probably not worth the money, although pleasant. Very slow service. Took 90 minutes before entrees were served, despite a near empty dining room...by that point. Had to get up to find people to see what was going on. Perhaps restaurant week meant the quality of food may have been below par. Not tempted to return.More

This was the worst tea I’ve ever been to. We sat in a climate controlled tent on a terrible rainy day instead of a cozy Tea Room. Course one was a very small scone with a dab of clotted cream and jam. Not enough to...spread on one bite. Course two tomato eggplant soup and garden greens with a few slivers of onion and several very small cucumber with a dab of dressing. Course three was a small pice of quiche, the smallest tea sandwich of turkey sliced so thin you could see through it, a skewer of tomato mushroom and some kind of cheese and purple asparagus cut up so small it was not even one spear. Course four desserts were also very small bite size. Tea was poured for you but Luke warm.More

My husband and I went here for an early Valentine's Day dinner. This restaurant is a restored manor built in 1744. It's offered for use as wedding venue also which should give an idea of how nice it is. It's a farm to table restaurant....They have an extensive wine menu; however, we both ordered a cocktail. I began with the french onion soup which was delicious. For my entree, I had the duck bolognese. It was good, but I thought the price was too high for the entree. My husband had the mushroom risotto which he enjoyed and found plentiful. For dessert, we shared the dark chocolate and red wine cheesecake. It was delightful and the best part of the meal. Service was okay.More
