Enjoyed their wonderful sauerbraten and Jaegersnitzel. Really friendly staff. Great place to meet friends for a casual lunch or dinner. We go there as often as possible.

I love this place. But it's really hit or miss with service sometimes I get great service but most the time the bartenders just completely ignore me. But I do still go for the food every couple months. Love what they did to the outside.

For a restaurant that is not in the center of all the action, this place has a loyal following that despite a tragic fire would queue up for a table any time. An evening ing the garden is an event not to be missed.

The Old Stein Inn has been a staple for German food in the Annapolis area since 1983. They have ample indoor seating and a newly remodeled biergarten, which is equipped with floor fans to keep the air moving on those still summer nights. Once a month the biergarten hosts Mike and The Continentials, a trio of musicians playing traditional music... More

Food was excellent and reasonably priced. We had a nice German wine from Rhine River Region for $24 which is unusual for restaurant prices. Service was great. Nicely decorated. Looking forward to going back.

The Old Stein Inn is hardly a secret to those of us who live in this part of Maryland but may not be as well known to visitors from farther away. This is traditional German food prepared with a modern touch. Add the ten on-draft German beers and you can eat anf feel just like you are back in Deutschland!... More

Glad to have experienced the Handmade Bavarian Soft Pretzel served with a trio of dips (spicy brown mustard, Landyager sourcream & dried salami, and chili butter). The Landyager sourcream was our favorite!!! To top it off, we enjoyed their Lager beer on tap + the bartender, Suzi, was very friendly and attentive :)

We had visited Old Stein Inn a couple of years ago. The standard has certainly not slipped. Both my wife and I ordered the "sampler" and we were not disappointed. The schnitzel although small was excellent and the wurst and kassler were as good as any I have eaten during the ten years we spent in Germany. The spatzle and... More

We found this place a few years ago and really held our breathe after the fire only to see the Phoenix rise and open again and even better than before. Family and friends make it a point to head there at least every other month - especially in summer for biergarten. A little of the beaten path and out of... More
