Love to stop by and have lunch at Tom & Rays, a throwback to the 1950's, good quality comfort food, freshly prepared.

This place had the best fried chicken, each serving was made to order so you had to wait 15 -20 minutes for it when you requested it. Large portions and 1-2 homemade desert options daily. Sadly, they went out of business.
Tom and Rays went out of business, but The Hornets Nest is a good alternative. There is a good variety of sandwiches and burgers and salads. It is one of the few places in Damascus where you can get a beer.
When you think of Tom & Rays you think small town. They are relocating to the Safeway shopping center in Damascus, Maryland and are supposed to reopen in April 2016. They have great breakfasts and other great home cooked meals like fried chicken.
