The best answer to fast food is good food fast. We loved the flavors. Wish we had this restaurant back home, but will insist on visiting during future trips. It is quiet enough to converse, and fast enough to eat on a work-day lunch hour. The chicken was perfect, and the flavors were totally fresh tasting. I could eat here... More

I went to dinner on a Wednesday night with friends. We were seated immediately and our server was prompt and attentive. The place is clean and very nice but not over the top. It was not packed which was great for us since we were not rushed and it wasn't very loud. There was a nice selection of dishes and... More

I love the food. My wife and I have tried a lot of the menu. We have never been disappointed. If this review gets you there, my work is done. Break out and try food that is just full of flavor.

We recently went to Maiwand Kabab for dinner. The decor is pleasant with stone walls and table-tops. I ordered the lamb curry special. It was really excellent and came with a side salad, rice, and plenty of tandoori bread. We also had chicken tika kabab and lamb kabab. It was all really good.

This was our first time to try traditional Afghan dishes, which was unique. Maiwand Kabob has several restaurants located in the Baltimore area and this one was in the Columbia Crossing mall. It was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful in explaining what the dishes were. There was a buffet with several choices, as well as... More

The vegan platter includes pumpkin, potatoes, spinach, peppers, eggplant, chickpeas, and rice. Ask for no yogurt sauce to make it vegan. Comes with that delicious hot oven bread. Kind of store front dining area or call ahead about 20 minutes for pickup and carry out.

Terrible Americanized Afghan food. Tasteless and bland. You also don't get what you order. Green peas instead of chick peas. Chicken curry was very dry. No green peppers in chicken dinner. Fried rice instead of white rice. Out of okra and babaganouch appetizers. Naan bread was terrible. Try Royal Kabob on Route 3 in Odenton or the Awe Shack in... More

This Afghan oasis is a reliable outpost for quick, flavorful food: loved the Kaddo (baby pumpkin with sugar and seasoned with garlic yogurt and ground beef sauce ($4.49) and the rice pudding. Pleasant counter service. Only a few tables, though.

The chicken kabob was a bit dry and tough but had good spices. The side dishes (like most Afghan restaurants) are the highlight and they offer all the usual choices.
