We stayed in Fordwich for the weekend and after having a late night drink on the way home from Canterbury shopping decided to return to The George and Dragon for Sunday lunch, well we weren't disappointed, the food was amazing and the atmosphere is lovely, very friendly staff and landlady, one if the best pubs I've been to in a... What a lovely pub! Friendly staff and excellent menu. We arrived early our table was ready, a couple of our party were running late and we were not rushed at all to start ordering. A relaxed and enjoyable evening with good food. The menu is online which was handy as we have a couple of fussy eaters.

The Restaurant has a very comfortable layout and seating arrangement . It has open fires and a large carpark , although it's on the other side of the road so care is needed when crossing .There is Disabled parking next to the Pub .The Menu is excellent and with good choices . The food is well planned and thought out... More

Went for Sunday Lunch with wife, children & granddaughter. Lovely food and firstclass service. Really good atmosphere in a very busy restaurant. Staff could not have been more helpful no wonder it was so busy. Suggest booking as it seems to be very popular. Had nice relaxing drink the previous evening what's not to like.

Took my cousin here for a drink after a busy day shopping in Canterbury today. What a charming place indeed. Not busy because it was late afternoon so we had the place to ourselves. Warm and cosy, with a log fire burning. Would love to return at some point try the food menu, it looked good.

We hadn't booked for lunch and it being half term we arrived to a very busy bar and restaurant. The delightful smiling landlady greeted us warmly while serving guests and showing people to their tables, saying she would be with us as soon as she could, which she was We were allowed to choose our own table, something that always... Since the last time we visited, the management and/or ownership of this pub/restaurant has changed. The restaurant was very busy and there was a little delay in delivery of our first round of drinks, but the staff were great in all other respects. The food was lovely, although a bit expensive, but this may just be a difference between this... More

Such a shame, this is such a perfect pub/restaurant. Great location, parking, love the fact we can take the dogs, open fire and garden and also great choice of ales but unfortunately the food is really poor.
