Lia's, like other restaurants in the Chef Geoff's empire in the Washington area, has a happy hour menu in the bar area that offers the same pizzas and burgers as you can order from the Lia's dinner menu, but at significantly lower prices. The CG Burgers we had were cooked exactly as we ordered, and the onion strings and fries... More

I always order their wild mushroom pizza and don't think anyone has made it better than Lia's I like their selection of wines and they always seem to have what i want. What can be better? Spacing between tables & selection of desserts. The noise levels inside can get really high during the evenings and can ruin the dining experience.... More

We don't live in area and were staying at the Embassy Suites nearby. Came in as a large group. The food was loved by all. Excellent Service. Our waiter--whose name I forgot!--was great. And the donut dessert was amazing. We had to leave early but Lia's put the desserts in to-go bags. We ate the donuts in our hotel room... More

Our family tried Lia's while in DC and loved it! This restaurant is located in the Friendship Heights area at the northwest perimeter of Washington, DC. The restaurant is labeled Italian but the menu is in fact broader. In addition to delicious pasta and pizza, the restaurant serves burgers, grilled salmon and other entrees to satisfy everyone's taste buds. Save... More

I had to wait longer than in any place in DC to get a table and I guess that since Im not a regular customer I was placed grounded on a corner to wait for the first rookie to notice that I was there to get my order. Food came to my table cold and without any flavor in the... More

I've been to Lia's a couple of times before, but this is the first time I've thought to write a review. Straddling the line between Friendship Heights in DC and Chevy Chase in MD, Lia's is a cozy yet trendy Italian restaurant catering (I think) to a clientele with a bit of a budget. While the food tends towards the... More

We have always enjoyed Lia's during our annual visits to Chevy Chase. That said, last night's dinner made us feel that they have really stepped up a notch with the food. The grilled artichoke with aioli sauce was simply the best we have ever eaten. The asparagus ravioli recommended by the waiter was heavenly and the short ribs with Mac... More

Went with a moderate size group tonight for family dinner following a long day. We were seated quickly and efficiently, got the drink order in a timely fashion and then our dinner orders taken in short order. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the table was roomy and well appointed. All the food was really great and the drinks were tasty... More
