Clyde’s has a varied menu, something for everyone in the family. But the best time to go is Monday for dinner. That’s Prime Rib night! It is juicy, delicious, melt in your mouth delightful.

We have visited this Clyde’s many times over the years as the food and service are good and we enjoy the moving train. This past visit makes me question if we will come back. We were seated promptly but it took a while for all...More

The menu has changed since our daughter requested this for her birthday dinner. She was so disappointed that nothing she wanted was on the menu now, from entree to beverage. We also were given a menu that was not a correct menu; when she went...More

This Clyde's is our favorite for a meal with friends where we want to spend a long time in conversation. Their comfortable booth seating never tires you out; the service is generally prompt; and if you specially ask for a quiet table, they generally have...More

Clyde’s restaurants make use of many local fresh ingredients. Their heirloom tomato salad with peaches and basil was delightful.

Everyone we spoke to really built up this restaurant and it was just ok. Just ok. Not nearly ok enough for the prices we paid. It was nice enough, and the servers were adequate. My meal was ok and there weren’t any problems, but it’s...More

When we first looked at Clyde's for our wedding reception, I had spent months overwhelmed, trying to transform an entire space for a reception while paying LOTS of money (house/student loan level) for the caterer. As soon as we walked into Clyde's, something clicked. We...More

For at least a couple decades, the Chevy Chase Clyde's has been a restaurant we have visited with family and friends. Sixteen years ago I told my husband we were expecting our baby in the downstairs bar because of it's ambiance in the early evening....More

The elevated model train which cycles overhead makes a complete circuit every 22 minutes or so, and our leisurely dinner treated us to 9 passages. Usually I get a beer and their hamburger. But this time I tried a "Perfect Storm" cocktail (everything ginger) and...More

Being in Marlyland my husband wanted to try some crab so our friend suggested here as the loves their crab cakes. There was a mix up with my drink (I asked for an Albarino but the waiter thought I said a San Pellegrino) but this...More

Description
The opening of Clyde's of Chevy Chase in 1995 brought more than just a fine dining experience to this growing Washington location. Situated in the heart of a prominent shopping district, this fascinating site celebrates the golden age of travel with steamships, planes and the Orient Express inside the two-level, 500 seat restaurant. Flavorful, fresh ingredients are used to prepare American style cuisine in the Travel Rooms on the main level, or in the casual atmosphere of the downstairs Race Bar and Dining Room.
