Good meal enjoyed by three adults! Interesting food choices! Good service! It's located next to upscale shopping. Conveniently located next to Friendship Heights metro.

I had the wild Alaskan salmon entree and my wife had the crab cake sandwich both of which were quite enjoyable. The bread was warm and crunchy. The only complaint was the price of the wine, the Clyde's Merlot which was $26 and is only a $5 bottle at retail by Rutherford Wine Company.

I have walked by Clyde's many times during my many trips to this area, and it always looked just a bit cheesy, so never decided to stop in however on my last trip, we were looking for a spot close to our hotel for a quick brunch before driving home. we were surprisingly pleased with the restaurant. It was quite... More

Went with a large group and the service was good. Food was ok (crab cakes were smallish and I was glad I ordered the larger order). Bar is nice

I didn't get to eat here but it is a nice restaurant with large bar area. Was there on a fairly busy Saturday night. Service was okay as it didn't take to long to get drinks. Beer prices were high. Was there with a group and had a nice time. I don't know if I would return unless I had... More

Was in town for a wedding and went to have drinks on Friday and Saturday. Hostess and Host were both great when I walked in both nights. Friday night upstairs bar with David. As nice a guy you will meet and great service! Saturday, wedding people went after the reception and hung downstairs with band playing. A little slow to... More

Good food at a reasonable price in a comfortable and attractive space. We did have a bad experience with an unattentive waiter during an after theater visit for drinks and lightr fare.

I had a late Friday night dinner here with a couple of friends. The place was not busy, but maybe we missed the busy period. I had a chicken caesar salad with a black and tan draft. Both were excellent. The chicken was abundant and nicely moist. There is interesting historical airplane and ship decor and the booth was comfortable.... More

One of DC's oldest chains, Clyde's is a go to place we take visitors to. You can count on a great varied menu with local flair and well prepared food. They have a full bar, a decent wine list and decor that is at the very least interesting.

For years, we've come to Clyde's any time we want total relaxation in a comfortable setting with reliable service and reliable food and good drinks. We'll continue that tradition without any qualms whatsoever, but tonight's meal showed that even a trusted icon can sometimes show some ragged edges. Our food and drinks, when they finally came, were excellent as always:... More

The opening of Clyde's of Chevy Chase in 1995 brought more than just a fine dining experience to this growing Washington location. Situated in the heart of a prominent shopping district, this fascinating site celebrates the golden age of travel with steamships, planes and the Orient Express inside the two-level, 500 seat restaurant. Flavorful, fresh ingredients are used to prepare American style cuisine in the Travel Rooms on the main level, or in the casual atmosphere of the downstairs Race Bar and Dining Room.
