First time at the back bar. Bartender was a lot of fun. Very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Nice drink menu, draft beers and wines. Two entrees, a salmon and hanger steak with fries, were nicely prepared and a success. This is a very nice option for a stop after a busy day.

I can recommend the Chateaubriand, Sea Scallops, Wonderful salads. And must have the chocolate shuffle.

We we four women and the restaurant was pretty empty. We ordered 3 grilled trout with jasmine rice and a dijon mustard sauce and 1 salmon with green beans and asparagus, hard boiled egg and herb sauce on the side. The food was good and plentiful. The waiter was not terrific. We asked for sauce on the side and that... More

We attended a dinner with 5 other couples, featuring a limited menu. The green salad was lightly dressed (yeah!) and noteworthy for the freshness of the greens. The entrees were fabulous - deboned local rainbow trout that had a crisped buttery skin, and a high quality filet of boeuf with greaseless pomme frites. Both entrees also had some perfectly cooked... We made a last minute reservation during restaurant week. The menu was generous and varied for the limited menus offered at most places during this prix fixe menu week. We all felt the dinner was excellent, even at full price. We had the trout amandine, potato crusted salmon and seafood risotto - all tasty and well-prepared. Appetizers and desserts were... More

My wife and I have dined often at this local restaurant. I latest dinner was wonderful. While the appetizers were good, the main course was outstanding, described as an open ravioli with shrimp and lobster. Whole shrimp and large pieces of lobster were in a luscious sauce with a sheet of pasta dough laid across it. This allowed the use... More

We also dined at La Ferme for Christmas Eve, and I was annoyed to find a very limited 3-course menu for $80/pp. My starter was a small piece of country pate with a dime sized piece of foie gras baked into the center of it, and one tiny bunch of watercress. If we calculate that the mains were $40, then... More

We went there for Christmas Eve dinner--the restaurant failed to mention that they were only serving a fixed-price menu--expensive but excellent selections on paper, at least. However, things fell apart fast! The mushroom soup with a puff pastry top looked wonderful--but the soup had the consistency and taste of library paste. The venison and sauce were not much better and... More

Hadn't been back in years so it was special to see how it has maintained an built on its quality and service. Staff was quite good and helpful. Menu had enough variety for even picky eaters. Had the mussel appetizer, with full mussels, wonderful broth, and baguette for dipping. Companion had the onion soup - hearty, flavorful, satisfying. Entree included... More

My friend took me to la ferme for a surprise birthday lunch. The atmosphere is old fashioned and on a cold December day it was nice to look at a fire. The menu was very nice and the food was good. Seafood crepe was great. The waiters were a bit off though. My friend had asked for a candle on... More
