The cream of crab soup was outstanding. Fish tacos wee fresh and lively. We had a younger waiter who left a bit to be desired. Beer ran dry more than once as too did my wife's glass of wine. Overall, a great place to eat.

We experienced very good service and delicious food. We dined on 9/30 for dinner and tried the crab dip appetizer, steamed shrimp, fish taco, and macaroni and cheese with brie. Everything was really tasty and the portions were great. Our server was attentive and friendly. We were seated by a window and the view was nice. We were caught by... More

My daughter and I ate dinner at this restaurant in August of 2016. We had a reservation and sat outside with the river directly next to us. It was good we had an early dinner reservation as we got a prime seat with a scenic view. When we arrived the restaurant was not that busy - however within 40 minutes... More

We went on a Friday night. Staff was friendly. Location and view was great. Then the Friday night college crowd came in, and it got crowded and service became scarce. A fun "college town" spot.

Nice view onto the Chester River from the diningroom; the room was a little bright for our taste - lit from overhead with white light. Food was satisfactory. Service was very good. Parking lot flooded - walked in, but had to be driven out!

We had a drink at the bar then moved to the deck when a table opened. Decent service although we had to wait quite a while to get our check and pay. Had it not been for the wonderful view of passing boats and the marina this would have bothered me more. We had the creamy crab soup which was... More

We stopped in for a late lunch while visiting Chestertown and started with Maryland Crab soup - lots of crab, vegetables and a little spicy - nice! Had a salad which was very fresh and included marinated mushrooms - very good. Our entree was the special - red fish with crab imperial which was very nicely done - loved it!... More

We love eating on the waterfront and The Fish Whistle has a great water view. You can eat out on the patio or inside if it's too hot or too cold outside. We liked having lunch there - casual atmosphere and food choices. We enjoyed our lunches - I loved the crab bisque and oyster caesar.

Nice meal in friendly surroundings. Of the four entrees chosen, Meatloaf was chosen by three, while I had the fried oysters. Everyone seemed quite pleased with their meatloaf selection, plentiful, good seasoning and cooked nicely but not dried out. The Fried Oysters were exceptional. Worth the visit, and very reasonably priced.

Such a great location but restaurant so poorly conceived and operated. Bar has a good atmosphere with several TVs but food in restaurant is barely mediocre. With the great views on the water it could be a top notch operation with opportunity to draw crowds from all over but fails miserably in almost all respects.

Thank Isez
