Husband and I were visiting Chestertown along with a friend, and had dinner at the Fish Whistle. When we arrived, our reservation was not listed. This was a bad sign. We were seated and told that there were no menus and we had to wait. About 10 minutes later, we got menus. We waited a very long time for our... More

My boyfriend and I were in Chestertown for the week. We attempted to go to Fish Whistle for dinner but arrived to late. To my surprise the bar was still open and the food was really good. The atmosphere was very fun and inviting! We ate, drank , watched the olympics and listened to some fun music.

We arrived, but snuck out without sitting down! I try to ask patrons who are leaving what they thought of a new (to us) restaurant, and get some tips on ordering. The best response I got here was "it's all right". Hmmmm. We walked in, waited through 2 maitre d' s. They told us they were short on silverware, so... More

We have been here a couple of times but after today---- no more! WE waited 20 minutes for a waitress who only came because we sought her out. WE were outside with a nice view, but 20 minutes is a bit extreme. We ordered and my fish tacos were actually a bunch of stuff in a sandwich wrap --- the... More

We found this restaurant via restaurant.com and decided to try it for my husbands birthday. We live about 2 hours from Chestertown, but it was a beautiful day and worth the drive. We arrived around 3 pm and decided to have a late lunch rather than waiting for dinner. Our waitress Kelly was amazing. She made several recommendations for their... More

At the very end of July 2016 we choose to close our business and give the crew the day off to beat the heat. The nearest watering hole was the Fish Whistle where I choose to treat my pantry staff to lunch and cold drinks. Kristin, our waitress could not be anymore accommodating and saw to our every need. Each drink... More

I know a lot of folk go for the seafood, which they say is good. I loved the burger - came with really good potato salad and spicy cole slaw

On a recent trip to Chestertown, The Fish Whistle was recommended by a store owner there. What a nice surprise! The restaurant sits on the Chester River and has panoramic views of the marina and River. The waitstaff was very friendly, knowledgeable about the beers on tap and the menu and made several very good suggestions. It was Taco Tuesday... More

Was my first visit with a family member who lives in the area. It was a very pleasant visit, the view was spectacular and the food very good. I had the crab cakes and they met every expectation. My husband is vegan and they worked magic with their regular menu to make an exceptional meal that was plant based. Would... More
