I know a lot of folk go for the seafood, which they say is good. I loved the burger - came with really good potato salad and spicy cole slaw

On a recent trip to Chestertown, The Fish Whistle was recommended by a store owner there. What a nice surprise! The restaurant sits on the Chester River and has panoramic views of the marina and River. The waitstaff was very friendly, knowledgeable about the beers on tap and the menu and made several very good suggestions. It was Taco Tuesday... More

Was my first visit with a family member who lives in the area. It was a very pleasant visit, the view was spectacular and the food very good. I had the crab cakes and they met every expectation. My husband is vegan and they worked magic with their regular menu to make an exceptional meal that was plant based. Would... More

Was skeptical of The Fish Whistle based on the "negative" reviews which turned out to false!! When we arrived we were quickly seated and noticed the place was bustling. Thought we might have made a mistake. NO WAY. Our waitress, Misty, came by and took our drink order and explained that she had tables inside as well as outside but... More

We go here often and never disappointed. The food is good and the wait staff is very friendly and attentive. Very relaxing and laid back on the deck.

I went with three friends. My hamburger was good. I also ordered a side salad that was very nice. The potato salad and coleslaw were placed on the plate together. It was not attractive. One of our group ordered crab cakes. There was no effort to make an attractive presentation. The third person ordered a salad with crab, ham and melon.... More

Interesting menu offering local seafood and waterfront views of the Chester River... easy walk from downtown but ample parking in front.

Always a good meal. Service good and the view relaxing. The fish tacos are the best. This is my go to restaurant in Chestertown especially when the weather allows for sitting outside.

We often take a ride from Dover, DE to Chestertown, MD (about an hour or so) to eat at The Fish Whistle. We've had their seafood stuffed potato skins which are DELICIOUS! Lots of crab and whole shrimp mixed with cheese, potato and other goodness. It's served with their homemade "ranch" dressing, but it's not anything like I've purchased at... More

This place not only has great food it has amazing views! We ate here twice in two days. The food was delicious and the views were spectacular, so we came back. Friendly, reasonably priced restaurant. The food was like home cooking with great nightly specials. The meatloaf dinner was fabulous as well as the Maryland Crab Chowder!

Thank Michelle L
