From the menu selections, to the portions, to the service our socks were knocked off. Apparently this was not a one off experience. I have a co-worker who eats here whenever he and his wife are in Chestertown and he voiced the same sentiments. Also, the innkeeper at the accommodations were my husband stayed overnight and the lady at the... More

And so much more! We always take the eastern shore route from NJ to Annapolis or DC so that we can stop here for a refreshing lunch or dinner.

Great food and atmosphere. We loved the crab soup and crab cakes. We would definitely recommend it for lunch or dinner!

We were recently in Chestertown for the weekend, and ate lunch at the Lemon Leaf Cafe based on its #1 TA rating. Every once in a while you have a dining experience that is head and shoulders above even the best restaurants. This was our experience at the Lemon Leaf. First of all, it is very open and cheerful atmosphere.... More

The atmosphere is a little bit upscale at dinner time - nice shorts and nice shirt are good. Don't roll off the boat and head in for dinner. Nice warm bread to start with and rich flavorful blue cheese dressing on the side salad. Cream of crab soup was awesome and they even bring the sherry pepper sauce that reminded... More

Yes, the lobster roll was our choice when we visited on a steamy afternoon in July. And it was a good decision. Lots of lobster, the perfect roll, just enough mayo to dress it, a tad of celery, and not much else. That's all it needs. The iced tea was refreshing. Only issues were that getting seated was slow, although... More

We have always enjoyed a weekend breakfast here in the past, but it appears that a little more oversight is in order. The service has always been excellent in the past (very slow this visit) and the food served hot (not the case this time) and the portions very sufficient (NOT the case this time). Everyone at the tables seemed... More

My husband and I ate here early on a Friday and enjoyed the apple cake that came in the bread basket very much. The server was pleasant and the food arrived quickly. I had the chicken and dumplings, which were pretty good, but not exceptional. The lemon dill salad dressing, a specialty of the restaurant that the server steered me... More

We ate at the Lemon on July 4 evening. They were slammed. Our wait server was right on doing a great job. JR was in the kitchen helping the chef. No one expected the restaurant to be so busy on 4th of Jul,y but it was and the staff did a great job managing the crowd. The food is excellent,... More

We stopped by on Friday afternoon for a late lunch. There were only a few customers in the restaurant, and were seated quickly. That was the high-point of their service. The best way I can describe the service was 'apathetic'. Our server acted quite disinterested in us as customers, never offered to re-fill our water and generally seemed bored. There... More
