I recommend the onion rings and their homemade soups. The homemade chicken rice soup is the best we've ever had. Large portions, everything we ate was fresh and yummy. What we saw on other people plate, and based on the comments we overheard, was just as good. Nice decor with brick walls. Quick and attentive service.

On our way home from an overnight in St Michaels, MD, we stopped to explore a new antiques/resale shop called Treasures Refound. After doing some retail and before the remaining drive home, we had to have lunch at LLC. We always & you must order a cup of the cream of crab soup..none better. (Tip: add a tablespoon of sherry... I had the Malibu salad with a crab cake. Delicious. Took half of the crabcake home. My husband had a barbecue sandwich with homemade chips and he ate it all. He also had a bowl of cream of crab soup with a touch of sherry to start. I helped him eat his soup. Believe me it was delicious. Forgot to... More

The locals all know, but it's well worth a trip to Chestertown for any reason. The Lemon Leaf is well-located in the middle of the 'downtown' walking district, and always a delight to visit. There are a few specialties that we look forward to (flannel cakes if we're there early enough) but unfortunately a limited vegetarian menu. They have many... More

The lemon pie tart was perfect. Skip the rest of the meal. The food tasted like it was from a can. We ordered three entrees- all bland and salty.

My wife and I have been coming to Chestertown for about 15 years now and this place is one of our new favorites for breakfast. It has a crisp and bright atmosphere and is delightfully uncrowded. My wife had the scrapple and flannel cakes. The cakes were perfect but the scrapple arrived without being properly cooked. Scrapple needs to be... More

Went to this restaurant twice while working in Chestertown for the summer, once with my mother and once with my father, brother and co-worker. Got the same thing both times, and would recommend this restaurant to anyone who visits Chestertown. Good but, not grade service and good but, not great food1

After several recommendations we tried the Lemon Leaf. Service was friendly and efficient. Menu somewhat limited but varied choices. The crab soup was really good and I didn't think it was too salty as mentioned by others. The house salad was a nice portion with fresh vegetables. My crab cakes were very good and I loved the sweet potatoes fries.... More

After that things went downhill. Both my husband and I agreed that our crab soups were salty. I ordered a roasted chicken dinner. I couldn't eat my entire meal...chicken with a white sauce, mashed red potatoes and green beans. I left without eating. Much too salty. Bob had Rock Fish. The skin was salty but other than that it was... More
