Solicitous service, delicious food - carefully prepared with excellent ingredients, and decor to bring you to a corner of France on the Eastern Shore. What more could you ask for?

Based on TripAdvisor rankings, we gave Bistro Poplar a try. Wow! I was expecting small plate, artisan portions but was impressed with both the incredible quality and portion sizes. Very fulfilling! Bibb salad was layered succulent leaves, lightly dressed, with surprising amount of lump crab and flavorful, tender heirloom grape tomatoes from the pastry chef's garden. Oyster appetizer was equally... More

Quiet atmosphere, wonderful service and the best restaurant meal I can remember. It was a nice sized portion of salmon. Not so much I had to take some home but left room for dessert. (I actually used my bread to clean the sauce from the plate.) I had Creme Brûlée for dessert, also a nice sized portion. It is a... More

I even made a reservation before leaving home to make sure we could get in. The food was excellent and our server De'Vonte was so efficient. We chose the special that night which was... More

We went here for dinner with another couple and everyone loved their food! We were a little hesitant to order the escargot but are happy we did. It was delicious. We also ordered the scallop special and were literally licking our plates clean. Finally, we ordered the blueberry corn cake and sweet corn ice cream at the suggestion of our... More

We've visited this restaurant about 40 times over the last eight years and it continues to amaze me with the quality, care, and originality of the dishes. Most recently, we visited on "tapas" night. The menu consists of about thirty small dishes, many of which are smaller versions from the main menu so it's an ideal way to sample something... More

Went for Father's Day and it was delicious - as usual. Good food, good service. We go here for special occasions or when friends are in town.

Service was slow to start out but got better. Food was amazing! We had the onion soup - Bibb salad - shrimp creole q d steak frites. Bad neighborhood but worth the trip.
