We went here for dinner with another couple and everyone loved their food! We were a little hesitant to order the escargot but are happy we did. It was delicious. We also ordered the scallop special and were literally licking our plates clean. Finally, we ordered the blueberry corn cake and sweet corn ice cream at the suggestion of our... More

We've visited this restaurant about 40 times over the last eight years and it continues to amaze me with the quality, care, and originality of the dishes. Most recently, we visited on "tapas" night. The menu consists of about thirty small dishes, many of which are smaller versions from the main menu so it's an ideal way to sample something... More

Went for Father's Day and it was delicious - as usual. Good food, good service. We go here for special occasions or when friends are in town.

Service was slow to start out but got better. Food was amazing! We had the onion soup - Bibb salad - shrimp creole q d steak frites. Bad neighborhood but worth the trip.

After reading the online reviews of Bistro Poplar, my expectations were high. Upon our arrival for an 8pm reservation, we were immediately greeted and seated at a lovely table. There was a larger group who was quite loud after presumably an "enjoyable evening." Their disrespect for their fellow diners was a bit disconcerting and almost was a cause for us... More

Bistro Poplar - what can I say to impart the truly enjoyable experience my significant other and I had there last Fall? The short rib entree was perhaps the best we've ever had (and let me tell you, both our mothers cook good short rib, and we've been to plenty of restaurants that serve good short rib). The duck and... More

This is a small, casual restaurant off the beaten path in Cambridge, Maryland so stop by if you're passing through or staying nearby. The food is amazingly good and the service and ambiance are very nice indeed. We started with a special fishcake made from swordfish and lightly fried. Delicious. The oysters casino (oysters, crab, bacon and a spicy sauce)... More

We come every year to Cambridge and the culinary highlight is always Sunday Tapas. Their crab cakes are out of this world and the corn pudding is fabulous. Their French onion soup is classically prepared and their goat cheese salad was delicious. We are already looking forward to next year.

Best choice in Cambridge! Casual with very attentive service and an excellent menu. In the land of all things "crab", they of course feature options which are also prepared and presented extremely well. Good reasonably priced wine options as well. Highly recommended for couples & small groups looking for a fine dining experience

Thank WRon
