Uncle Julio's is our only choice when it comes to Mexican food. The service and food is always great. We are huge fans of the shrimp quesadilla but if you get the large spilt it or take half home. I would recommend getting the famous swirl had margarita and half frozen sangria. Don't let it fool you it's filled with... More

It is tough to get a table but it is worth the wait, as long as you can hear your friends if you are seated inside. It can be very noisy! The service is always excellent and the chips and salsa are some of the best in the area.

The food was excellent but it was very noisy. I had bacon wrapped shrimp with steak and chicken fajitas. Lot of food. Also guacamole made at the table.

I just happened to be in Bethesda for an unexpected car repair and the dealer recommended Uncle Julio"s for lunch. First of all this is the biggest Mexican Restaurant i've ever been in. I sat at the bar and asked for a lunch recommendation and the bar tender said without a doubt have the Pork taco which is made fresh... More

I was drawn to this place from seeing the TV commercials about chocolate piñata. We had a party of 9. We were seated immediately. Our server was Prince. He did an awesome job w/ recommendation on food & returning drinks w/ a smile. I had the Grand Marnier mimosa. The OJ tasted sour...yuck! Then I ordered the Champagne & Passion... More

The good: Excellent food, steak is marinated very well, staff is professional, friendly. Lobster is amazing! The not so good: It's pretty expensive for Mexican food. the place gets pretty loud, hard to carry on a conversation. Can get busy on weekends The bad: Margaritas are tiny, so-so, and $10 a pop. They used to serve this dish called the... More

Look I grew up eating Mexican .. This is pretty American friendly. No flavors jump out on the palate here it's just decent but the servings are so big 1 plate serves 2 even though they make a "serves two" size. I'm a very big guy but after chips and salsa and homemade tortillas you don't need a ridiculous platter.... More

I went on a Saturday night with my best friend, her husband and their toddler. The staff was outstanding and was very helpful with a booster seat. (And it was a really neat one.) it wasn't the most kid friendly, but they did have a kids menu. It was super loud in there and difficult to have conversations and the... More

The food is great, I love everything on the menu, all of it is just so rich in flavor . But I must add it's not completely authentic Mexican, given that it is Tex Mex cuisine. The one complaint I have is that the service is not always the fastest.

Done here fairly often. Chips are so good that I have to restrain myself from having a second basketful. Love the guacamole and queso. Swirlie margaritas are delicious. Good portions and something for everyone. Bustling atmosphere.
