Very nice neighborhood restaurant

Whether it's lunch or dinner, the menu is varied. I actually find lunch better. But I've been to both in the last week. The luncheon salads are imaginative and very tasty. I've tried many and nary a bad one. Dinners are varied with much the same as most other restaurants in the area.

We went with a friend from Maryland for dinner on a Saturday night since our friend really likes it there. We started off with sharing a white pizza with wild mushrooms that was good. I ordered the entree on special and was disappointed that the acorn squash was not fully cooked (too hard to scoop out with utensils) though the... More

Elegant setting. Appropriate atmosphere. Menu contained nice selection from Seafood Risoto to Filet Mignon. Appetizers included Mussels as well as tasty and artfully presented Ceasar Salad. Dessert choices equally enticing. Waiters were professionals, a true pleasure, and their wine recommendation, as well as dessert recommendation could not have been any better. Bill for 2 was $150, including tip, for 3... More

Met a friend for lunch on a Friday. Although we did not have a reservation, we were seated quickly. We each ordered a salad and our food, accompanied by fresh breads, arrived promptly. The food was delicious and the wait staff was very attentive. A pleasant meal in a pleasant environment. Will definitely enjoy again.

Went for lunch with my wife, daughterin-law and granddaughter. Large selection of salads and intriguing list of lunch cocktails. We all ordered different specialty salads. Bread was hot and excellent, salads were beautifully presented and tasted delicious. All in all a nice elegant lunch. The only downside was that there was one tiny pat of butter for the four of... This is our favorite restaurant in Bethesda. It is north of crowded Bethesda with ample free parking. Everything on the large menu is excellent. Whether meat or seafood, you can't go wrong. Personal favorites include the Caesar salad which are whole leaves of perfect romaine housed in a parses an crisp she'll. Perfect for lunch or to share as an... More

What an uneven place; sometimes I am delighted; others I am very unhappy; this was an unhappy time; the tuna consisted of 6 very tiny thin slices of not the best quality cut. The beef in the beef stew was tough. The spinach salad was very good. I have had better meals there, thus the three stars; we won't give... More

We had a wonderful dinner at the Oakville Grille last night. My sister and I both enjoyed their unique Caesar salad. Instead of an entree, I had a wonderful crab cake. The guys had a very good beef stroganoff. And for dessert we all split two really good deserts--pear cake and key lime pie.

A co-worker has been raving about Oakville Grille for a while, so we decided to try it. I had the $9 Merlot; it was maybe an A-. We shared a salad, which was mediocre; C. I had the chicken dinner, which would only get a C. It had very little flavor, although there was more than enough to eat. My... More
