We enjoyed a hot fudge sundee . Also breakfast. A great family restaurant with reasonable prices. Right in the middle of short sands beach area.

Their taffy is out of this world- melts in your mouth. Food is great and there is a lot of room for large groups. Enjoy.

We stopped in for ice cream on a hot Sunday. My son and I had the cookie dough ice cream. It was only OK. It kind of tasted like they used brown sugar, to make it, which I wasn't expecting. We also had a chocolate frappe, which was quite good.

As you approach the building you can start to smell the taffy being made. Before entering inside you can watch the taffy being made from their glass windows. Once inside you can purchase their taffy, other candy products, dine in their restaurant, or just grab an ice cream at the counter. While they do accept credit cards, purchase must be... More

When my husband asked me what I wanted to do in Maine, I replied: 1 walk the beach, 2 eat a lobster roll and 3 head to the Goldenrod for saltwater taffy. Goldenrod Saltwater Taffy is the very best! I always pick up a box of Maine Blueberry for my Goddaughter. My husband is a fan of the choc., lime... More

If you are travelling on the southern coast of Maine with kids, it is worth the detour to this place. You can watch the taffy being made and there are so many flavors to choose from. After you have this salt water taffy, you won't be able to eat any other - it's the best! Not a bad place for... More

I do not make it out to Maine much anymore. When I do I need to get taffy at Goldenrods. This is probably the best taffy you can find in southern Maine. What makes Goldenrods so fun is after a day at the beach (pick any beach in So. Maine) I head to York Beach to play at the arcade... More

Stopped in again, this time for the great ice cream sodas with two of our grandkids. As always, the "old fashioned" sodas were awesome. Also bought some peanut butter salt water tagged for our friends back at home. We will be back in a day or two, this place is an institution!

Very nice stop for lunch while at the beach or strolling about the town of York Beach. Nice menu with reasonable prices and don't forget deserts. Parking can be a challenge, as the large parking lot next to the beach gets packed on a warm sunny day, with cars just driving around waiting for someone to leave. TIP: drive past... More
