We had an early dinner here on a Sunday night and dinned on the outside porch. The sun was starting to set so the light was beautiful overlooking the harbor. The food was ok nothing great but the staff was fabulous and the place was charming and authentic.

We ate at the Dockside Restaurant several times while staying at the Dockside Guest Quarters for four weeks. The food and service are very good. The screened-in outdoor patio is wonderful. Great views of the harbor! Highly recommend.

I love sandwiches! The blue cheese BLT at Dockside (first visit) today is right up there with the best sandwich I have ever had. Amazing bacon piled high with yellow and red heirloom tomatoes on toasted raisin bread was outstanding. I was told the tomatoes were right out of the Dockside's garden. Good service, beautiful view! A treat for the... More

Dockside is always a winner. Great food. Wonderful service. Great views of the Harbor. Fish and chips were outstanding. Clam chowder was excellent. Never spend time in Maine without stopping in.

Did not have reservation but got right in. Stayed next door at Dock Side Guest Quarters. Decided to dine inside - this is as good as the porch - next to window. Excellent food - lobster and beef! Service was realy good - not slow. We'll be back!~

Was firest recommended by innkeepers nearby 2 years ago. A great meal then on the patio with a repeat on the screened porch this summer. Great service, wonderful views of harbor, and fine dining. Had the oysters as appetizer and the lobster dish for the main course. A really lovely evening. Plan to return on my next trip to the... More

Wonderful view! Awesome bread! Loved the Moscow Mule. My Harris Island haddock was great. My husband's ribeye was suppose to be medium rare, it was raw. But...they recooked the same steak. OMG! And it came back well done. The service was ok. First we felt rushed at 6pm and said we were not in a hurry. It was my husband's... More

The views are fantastic! The waitstaff are friendly and the menu is varied. A little pricey for me on a regular basis, but as a special treat, it's a treasure...

Enjoyed our dinner on the harbor. We all enjoyed our meal. Kids menu available. Relaxed dress code. Indoor and outdoor seating. Chef was accommodating for one in our party with specific requests. Friendly hostess. Great server. White Wine Mussels and Drunken Lobster was a highlight. Desserts weren't bad. Overall, good experience.

Description
The approach to the Dockside Restaurant is all part of the Dockside’s charm. You are treated to views of the York River and the grand “summer cottages” as you turn onto Harris Island Road to reach Dockside Restaurant.

The view is quintessential Maine, people hustling up and down the docks, gleaming yachts and colorful lobster boats in front of a rock and pine-tree shore.

Dockside’s recent renovation is perfect, warm and comfortable. Hardwood floors, European style lighting floor to ceiling window and a new mahogany bar with an adjoining outdoor cocktail deck. During warm months seating is available on our harbor view screen porch. The atmosphere is casual but the food is serious.

Chef Dennis la Planet has been recognized as a “chef’s chef”. North Atlantic seafood prepared with a northern Italian influence and aged steaks are just the start. Lunch features organic salads, creative sandwiches and traditional favorites; fish and chips, chowders and fried clams too.
