My husband and I dined for the first time and were not disappointed. The flatbread appetizer was delicious and he chose the blue fin tuna dinner and I the drunken lobster. Both were cooked and prrsented to perfection. Everything was perfect including the cocktails and the blueberry pie dessert. Lovely setting and friendly and gracious staff. Worth our drive in... My husband and I were in York on vacation and chose to eat at Dockside on July 16th. We reserved and received a table on the porch without waiting past our reservation time. Our server, sorry I can't remember her name, was very knowledgable and attentive. We began our dinner with Seafood Chowder and French Onion Soup. Both were very... More

My husband and I had dinner at the Dockside on Saturday, July 16, 2016. We asked for and did not receive a table overlooking the water even though we offered to wait until after our reservation. There was a table overlooking the water that remained empty the entire time we had dinner. Our server was inexperienced or overwhelmed since we... More

Kind of "off the beaten path" and rather plain looking from the parking lot, but very elegant inside. Great views of the boats in the harbor. I had the giant pork chop and the spouse had fried oysters and oven roasted potatoes. Blueberry pie for dessert. Nice family owned restaurant.

Yesterday I went to the Dockside with family. I have been there before and it was good. This time however not so good. We waited a very long time for the food at lunch time, not over crowded there at all. We got an appetizer of lemon hummus with homemade pita and olives. Very mediocre. When our seafood came my... We were in search of a different restaurant but the GPS guided us into this area so we decided to give it a try. We were seated on the screened-in deck area, overlooking a harbor area. Lovely setting, nice view. The service was not good, seems like the staff may be seasonal and their inexperience showed. The lunch menu is... More

We almost drove past the entrance and it's off the road a bit, but very happy to find it. Enjoyed the lobster roll and thick chicken club sandwich. Be advised the lobster roll has cilantro , but there's no mention of it on the menu. I'm glad the foodserver told me. I'm don't mind a little cilantro, but some folks... More

There were 4 adults and two young teens having a respite from the drive from MA. On our wayHostess, wait staff and food was enjoyed by all; plus, a nice selection to chose from. The beautiful bay was idyllic, breezy and stunning....

We found this place quite by accident. Just driving around wondering where to have dinner. We had something called the "Drunken Lobster" that was just excellent. Great service. Just a good find.

Description
The approach to the Dockside Restaurant is all part of the Dockside’s charm. You are treated to views of the York River and the grand “summer cottages” as you turn onto Harris Island Road to reach Dockside Restaurant.

The view is quintessential Maine, people hustling up and down the docks, gleaming yachts and colorful lobster boats in front of a rock and pine-tree shore.

Dockside’s recent renovation is perfect, warm and comfortable. Hardwood floors, European style lighting floor to ceiling window and a new mahogany bar with an adjoining outdoor cocktail deck. During warm months seating is available on our harbor view screen porch. The atmosphere is casual but the food is serious.

Chef Dennis la Planet has been recognized as a “chef’s chef”. North Atlantic seafood prepared with a northern Italian influence and aged steaks are just the start. Lunch features organic salads, creative sandwiches and traditional favorites; fish and chips, chowders and fried clams too.
