Red’s Eats’ lobstah roll definitely does not disappoint! Towering mound of fresh lobstah on buttery toast, simply sweet and delicious!

I don't like a giant pile of cold lobster in my lobster roll. I wish I would have known it was going to be cold. I wish the tiny piece of bread under the mountain of cold lobster was larger. I'm not sure what the...More

Dear Lavender D, We know that we cannot please everyone, but we work hard to. I do appreciate you visiting us. I'm not quite sure what you expected, as I have photos, thousands of reviews describing our roll, TV shows, YouTube, etc. But, again...I wish...More

The line is long for a cold lobster roll that’s a bit pricey but you get lots of meat. The fried zucchini was good but fried clams were average. Staff was pleasant even late in the day when closing.

On Tuesday @ 5:00PM, waited about 25 minutes to order, another 10 or so to pick up. In face of worsening weather, we opted for takeout of our 2 rolls and an order of onion rings. I'm picky about food quality and value; Red's is...More

Long wait? Yes. Best Lobster Roll EVER? YES. We waited an hour and 15 just to place our order in early Oct and another 10 minutes to get it. But DO NOT let that discourage you. You will be amazed at the size of this...More

We only thought we’d had our first Maine lobster roll a couple of days prior, but really there was no comparison to Red’s. Red’s lobster roll contains a pound and a half, I’m guessing, of tender lobster meat. The element that definitively puts the roll...More

There’s no doubt the lobster rolls are delicious and the staff incredibly friendly, the enjoyment stops there. The lobster rolls are a meal in itself but the we onion rings quite greasy and can’t be recommended. The real distraction is the wait. We arrived at...More

Dear Peter, Thank you for visiting Red's Eats....we truly appreciate it. I truly think, respectfully, that many forget the big picture. Imagine this many guests at any indoor dining restaurant....I have experience in other establishments, so I know what I am talking about....I do not...More

This was a "we have to visit" place to try the number one lobster roll in Maine. We went on a Saturday and what should have been a one-hour drive from Portland took us two hours due to the traffic on Route 1. We then...More

We literally waited 2 hours in line and then for the food to be ready before we got to eat, but it was one of those "must do" things we read about. The lobster roll was good, the lobster meat was cold and they gave...More

Beautiful and huge lobster roll. Maybe a pound of actual meat on one roll. Better to split a roll with another person and also split a $1 hot dog or fries or onion rings. The other food will help cut the richness of the lobster...More

As far as I know they close Columbus Day and reopen in the late spring early May. It’s strictly outside dining with minimal protection from the elements.
