My family found this spot to be a good alternative to the famous Red's. The quality of the lobster roll is every bit as good. $20 versus Red's $24. Nice large deck overlooking the river. Easy to park. No long wait on the sidewalk in the sun. The only negative was the young order taker with attitude. Both my wife... More

Lots and lots of perfectly cooked lobster meat, but just a little too plain. We had to ask for extra mayo and also when we asked for the lemon, we got one very thin slice for 2 people . Enjoyable and as stated .... Almost perfect

Just because the New York Times says reds is the best is that any reason to be holed up in a one hour cue?Just across the street the food is just as good as a matter of fact it is great and there are no lines and you can sit down.

Have a great lobster dinner on the dock with corn , clams , and one or two lobsters . Sit outside by the water . Good clam fritters .

We were in Wiscasset and there was a LONG line at Reds, which must have something going on. Or is it that people go where people go, because people go where people go? We did not want to wait in line, so we went here and it was great. I don't know if Reds is better or worse, but we... More

We like apparently everyone else in this area planned on stopping at Reds for lunch. I honestly do not find any restaurant worth over an hour wait for take out service so we decided to venture across the street and we are very glad we did. Sprague's was outstanding and basically had no wait. We spent less money and enjoyed... More

OK! The war between Red's Eats and Frank Sprague's has been going on ever since Maine Yankee (atomic power plant) closed and Frank moved his lunch cart to the town wharf across the street from Red's Eats..Its really not a war as Frank and the Red's Eats (Red died years ago) people get along just fine...Red's is pretty much a... The lobster rolls here are so great and never a line. There are lots of seating areas too - picnic tables that overlook the water. Beautiful setting and so delicious!! Generous helpings of lobster in the perfect roll. Plentiful parking and a must try!

Visited Wiscasset after reading a story about it. Lovely little town right on the water and of course I had to have a lobster roll. I went to Spragues because the line at Red's across the street was ridiculous and I wasn't disappointed. Fresh lobster on a toasted buttered rolls and hand cut fries, awesome! My sister had the clam... More
