The staff was friendly and I enjoyed the view of the waterfront an inexpensive place to try great Maine seafood also something for everyone if crustaceans are not on your menu.

Sprague's is Red's Eats without the 2 hour line. Food's marginally better, prices are around the same. Service is way, way better. There's better seating (it's right on the water) and quite a few parking spots, although when it's packed they can be hard to get into.

Worst fried haddock I've ever had in my life! Seriously. Taste was bad, fish was shaped like a rectangle which made me think it was frozen... yet frozen fish sticks I'e bought for the kids at grocery store a couple of times are far better than this. Even the French fries were disappointing. Not even good enough to hope it... More

The lobster roll was filled with meat but for $19.95 nothing else was included. No lemon or butter. The roll itself was dry. Charged extra for a little container of coleslaw. This is an outdoor eating place, no thrills.

Whether you choose fish, lobster or other menu samplings, you cannot go wrong! Love sitting on the beautiful deck looking out over the water, boats...gulls and dining on great seafood!

No line like across the street, locals call it the tourist line. The lobster rolls and clam chowder were very good. The staff was very pleasant.

Don't bother to wait in the long line across the street. Sprague's lobster roll - big chunks of fresh lobster ( a whole lobster and then some. . . ) on a grilled hot dog roll - is spectacular! No frills here (lobster roll is served with no extras on paper rather than a plate, you have to ask for... More

I ordered twin lobsters for $23.95. I was assured these are 1 1/2 lbs soft shell each. No - the combined was 1 1/2 lbs. I had small fries with this....so total was just over $29. I was still very hungry after this small amt of lobster meat and fries. They responded poorly to my inquiry about why lobsters are... More

Nowhere was there a sign saying that clam fritters were available but when asked about clam cakes was told that fritters were available. After a long wait with few customers in sight I got the fritters. They were crispy on the outside but were a soggy, oily mess on the inside. Obviously the batter was put in the oil when... More
