My family is in our cabin in the North woods of Maine every summer. We can't wait for a Big G's lunch date. The half sandwiches are hard to finish, so be sure to come hungry. It's hard to decide, as the menu is boundless, and the massive home made bread is so tempting. Choose a pre-named sandwich or make... More

Wonderful creative sandwiches. Very big! Order a half. Bread made daily. Everything big. Big whoopie pies, big muffins, big food!

First they do not take anything but cash. ATM at front door. Homemade hash is like potted meat soggy, ground fine and no taste. Eggs overcooked. Bread was old and fell apart when picked up. My thought is people like the amount of food you get but the quality of the food is not as important. All I can say... More

See above! Great portions! Tremendous variety! This is the most wonderful sideline sandwich restaurant I have ever been to. Had a Ruben that was as good as any New York Deli. Clean and very busy

Love their sandwiches (rather the half sandwiches). Even the half is enough for two meals. Always enjoy taking someone there for their first visit.

If you like large portions at cheap prices this is the place for you! Large sandwiches are the equivalent of four slices of bread so two people can eat well off of this. Bread is homemade Fries are fresh cut and the tater tots are amazing. and a must have item are the enormous whoopie pies.

You will not go away hungry - the portions are giant. The food is like home cooking and the sandwich selection is expansive. The eating area is a bit loud and lacks personality, but has plenty of seating. Good food!

We have had a couple of different meals at Big G's. Their breakfast is served until 12pm and not a moment later - so don't miss it! Everything these guys serve is OVERSIZED and i mean it. My husband and I shared an omelet and one pancake - of which I had three bites and half of the omelet. We... More
