Had a wonderful evening at Hobbs. From the stuffed mushrooms and bacon wrapped scallops for apps simply amazing. One of us had the boiled lobster which was super tasty and the easiest ever to take apart. Other items served were also great. Get the blueberry...and strawberry crisp but be sure to have served warm.More

We are never disappointed at Hobbs (unless they are out of their swordfish); that being said, any alternate meal we have chosen has not disappointed!

Terrific seafood place. Relaxing and comfortable, the staff all have a great attitude. Food was amazing and fresh. Loved the chowders and the salads. Server was friendly and her recommendations were spot on. We would go back when in the area.

We stopped for lunch during a long weekend getaway. Service was outstanding and food was delicious. Their clam chowder was amazing! It’s a New England style chowder but with more of a broth consistency rather than the heavy cream base I’m used to. It is...absolutely LOADED with tender clams. Haddock sandwich and fries were hot, crispy and delicious. There’s an area out back where you can take your drinks and sit and enjoy the view. We were very pleased with everything and will return!More

Service was exceptional, great location and vibe. The lazy lobster was extremely disappointing. There was NOT a pound and 1/4 amount of lobster in the serving as described in the menu. For $32 it was a rip off even with the high cost of lobster...currently. There would have been more meat in a lobster roll. Complained to management but they did not seem to care.More

We went to Hobbs for the first time to celebrate our 45th Wedding Anniversary. I told the waiter that we were celebrating. A little extra touch of service by our waiter would have been nice...but..oh well... My husband's Prime Rib was so big it was...the biggest we had ever seen and he said it was The Best! I had the broiled scallops, they were tender and full of flavor. The location was great. We will be back and highly recommend it.More

First time visiting. Was impressed with the many positive reviews. Unfortunately we must have visited on an off night. My wife had the fried clam plate. It’s her favorite dish but these clams were strangely battered and were dark and not flakey. My son had...the seafood sampler and I had the Lakewood Seafood Pie. Both of our dishes were piled high with a bread crumb topping that not only disguised the small portions of seafood but sucked all the moisture out of the fish, lobster, shrimp and scallops leaving them in a completely dried out state. The only positive was the view. I don’t think I will chance going back here.More

Rate between 2-3. We've been here several times, seems like it's hit or miss each time. ie, the other night I had scallops scampi and it was absolutely divine......tasty, large scallops well-cooked, just delicious. DH had the fried fisherman's platter for $31 but declared it...tasty and generous portion. So we returned the next night and I ordered the scallops & lobster in a supposedly sherry sauce. There must have been a cup of bread crumbs on the top which of course absorbed all the liquid. Result was dry lobster and scallops and no taste whatsoever of sherry. Disappointing for the price. The green beans were hardly cooked but the mashed potatoes were decent. DH ordered the seafood sampler which was ample but again, loaded with bread crumbs and way too dry. Another disappointment. I see other reviewers commented on the chef's heavy-handed use of the bread crumbs, too. Both dishes too pricey for what you get, and not even a small salad. Drinks are too expensive; $10 for a bloody Mary. Bartender kept the change and we didn't tell her to! Ok..one last thing. The service is always pretty good here. Attentive and friendly but this last time we had the misfortune of being seated in the loud waiter's section. He barely answered our questions about menu items, portion size etc . He was more interested in it being all about HIM rather than the customers! Way too loud, too, non-stop chatter. Does management not know that the louder the sound coming from one's mouth, the more covid virus spreads? Take a look at the crowd in the dining rooms ....they are mostly older folks who are not into being "cool". They probably want a peaceful good meal, as we do. A couple spends at least $100 for dinner and a drink. Not cheap. Finally, there are some good things, too. They disinfected the tables after each guest, the staff are friendly, the view is great and they have the nice outside patio where one can have a drink, look at the view while waiting for the table to be called.More

Not crazy at all! I happily ate at the bar. As for Coors light....this martini girls left her Coors loving DH behind so can't say about the beer.
