Food, service, and facility are all outstanding. Several daily specials afford the chef an opportunity to serve dishes not usually on the menu. Extensive wine list and full bar are available.

Stopped in after reading other reviews and the restaurant's write-up. Liked the "farm-to-table" philosophy that chef works with. Food was outstanding. Crab cakes nice and meaty without a ton of bread; salads fresh and clean -- bleu cheese to die for -- and the gnocchi...More

Best restaurant in Wells. We ate here Monday night and everything was delicious. A little more expensive than your other restaurants in town but worth it. Need to make reservations a month in advance. Our meals were excellent, and make sure to save room for...More

Our American friends had told us how good this place was and we were not disappointed. The range and quality of food was superb, as was the service. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

Joshua's is every bit as good as its reviews. Reservations in advance needed! A week ahead of our visit, we were fortunate to get an early seating (options were 5:15 PM and after 8:30). The garden room was pleasant and our table overlooked the lovely...More

Decor mid 1700s roadside tavern. Best waitress ever. Mussels with blue cheese sauce out of this world. Lobster pie for me, Halibut fresh for my wife. Vegetables fresh from the farm to the table. This place can't be beat.

Joshua's was EXACTLY right: the ambiance, the lighting, the noise level, the service and the food is AMAZINGLY delicious. We popped in right before 7 pm without reservations (if you want a table you need reservations) and slipped into a cozy corner of the bar...More

Yes they usually have the Lobster Pie, although the it is special. As a lot of the menu they only serve it if it's fresh. You will love the lobster pie as it comes in a flakey home made crust with just lobster. Vegetables... More
