We try to go to the Maine Diner at least once when we vacation in the area. This diner is a Must-Go-To place whether it is for breakfast, lunch, casual dinner or dessert. Everything we have had on the menu has been fantastic. I especially like their Chef's Salad full of vegetables, ham and turkey and their lobster salad. My... More

Heard it was overrated but not the case. Service was top notch. Very genuinely friendly and attentive people! Was not expecting this from a famous place. I liked the ambience and the food was good. We're just up the street and will become regulars. Plenty of lobster on the benny too!!! Only slight negative was I wish the lobster meat... More

Maybe the breakfast is really good but the seafood tastes like it was frozen. I got the SUPER SEAFOOD PLATTER, the only part I THINK was fresh is the fish and clams. Even tho, it was all soggy!!! They were understaffed for sure. 1 more server would have made service a little quicker. The corn muffin was amazing as was... More

After seeing the advertisements for the Maine Diner on local Boston tv stations over the years, I was very excited to try the Maine Diner. Today's business trip to Maine afforded me the opportunity. The diner is pretty basic on the outside, with ample parking and an adjacent gift store. The gift store should have been a hint. Upon walking... More

We try and get here at least a couple times a year. And we do not live in Maine. Good diner food, great breakfast served all day, plus many traditional New England favorites. We have never had a bad meal here. Friendly staff and good service add to the good food to make this a great place for a meal.... More

Stopped for lunch. Lobster Pie......OMG!!!!!! Service was excellent as was the food. We did have a 20 minute wait but it was worth it. Went back for breakfast of Eggs Benedict. Not disappointed.

I got turkey with baked potato and veggies baked potato was awful the rest was excellent. My friend got lobster salad roll, her only complaint was the melted butter wasn't hot enough. My other friend got pancakes and hash browns. She was not impressed. Person sitting next to us got the last special meatloaf and gave us some it was... More

This location is advertised very heavily. It's a tourist trap! Way too much fried food! Spouse & I had the "Clam-A-Rama." Consisted of fried clams, a fried clam cake, clam chowder & two vegetables. All of it was tasteless. The glasses of water were good! Atmosphere not too good. Plenty of parking. Clean. Service was good & speedy. $53.25, including... More

This was our second visit. I will say up front that my biggest disappointment was not their fault. I just ordered the wrong thing. My eyesight isn't always the best and I misread the menu and ordered the cold lobster roll rather than the hot one with butter- totally my fault. As far as cold lobster rolls go it was... More

We recently visited Wells, Maine and ate at The Maine Diner. Breakfast was excellent...good variety and good prices. Our wait person was so nice each time we were there. We ate breakfast twice and went back for lunch one day. Once again, the food was really good and the service was superb. When we got there my daughter called with... More
