After seeing the Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, I thought this would be good. NOT. Lobster pie was over cooked, dry and had very little lobster. It was mostly cracker crumbs - burnt cracker crumbs. My wife's haddock was also over cooked and dry. The sides - slaw, fries and beans were unremarkable. Lots of hype - not much delivery. Service... More

We did not know until we stopped that this place had been featured on Diner, Drive-Ins and Dives on Food Network. We actually stopped here twice. The first was to get a cup of clam chowder and a cup of seafood bisque for my wife. My chowder tasted of flour. The 2nd time we stopped was for lunch on our... More

It seems that every time we eat here it get a little less wonderful. There aren't the lines like there used to be. We had lunch/dinner and ordered chicken pot pie, was good going down, but didn't set well later. One of us had sausage gravy, it had no flavor and we sent it back, waitress also agreed that this... I have been to this diner several times, each time hoping to have a better experience. They were featured on the food network so I had very high hopes. The atmosphere is classic diner which was appropriate but the food was a disappointment with each visit. I will not be returning.

The Maine Diner has an extensive menu. We had breakfast, but it has lunch and dinner as well. Once seated we were waited on quickly. The portions were very large and the food was tasty.

Went for dinner and had the Lobster Pie. Came with fries and cole slaw. Pie had abundant junks of delicious lobster combined with crumbs and butter that was a rich treat. Always crowded with customers and for good reason. Food was great!
