It was my first visit to The Egg & I in Wells Maine. There was a crowd waiting which was a hint that this was a special place and it proved to be true. We were warmly welcomed and service was prompt and friendly. The highlight was the delicious food....the best eggs benedict I have ever had. This destination is... More

We went here (a group of four) on a busy Saturday morning - it had been recommended by friends, so despite the long line we decided to wait. I don't know how they do it, but I don't think we waited ten minutes! It would have been worth a long wait though ... EXCELLENT food, huge portions, very friendly staff.... More

Delicious food, huge portions. I had one version of eggs benedict. Perfectly cooked with a delicious side of lightly seasoned home fries. We would go there for breakfast everyday.

We went to Wells, ME for our honeymoon in 2005! We just stumbled onto this place and decided to give it a go. They asked us if we knew what we wanted and when I said, No, that this is our first time here and we're on our honeymoon. The waitress made an announcement about it being our honeymoon everyone... We had breakfast here while in Maine this summer. It was amazing. The hash was to DIE for! My granddaughter who is two just loved it and the staff was very nice (and patient)! It is busy, and you will probably have to wait, but the efficient staff keeps things moving along and besides - you want to get on... More

My husband and another couple were visiting Maine for the Columbus Day weekend and ate breakfast here before heading home. The food was good and the service was good as well.

Husband had a western cheese omelet and I had veggie omelet. He thought his was just ok but I really liked mine so that averaged out. Home fries were really just chunks of cooked potatoes - not all that exciting. Coffee was strong but good. Server was sweet but a bit slow even as the restaurant started to clear out.... More
