My husband and I are not usually diner people but we were heading up to Maine for a long weekend and were starving with nothing else in site. We thought it was a good sign that the parking lot was packed still long after lunch time. Only had a short wait to be seated even though it was full. Interior... More

If you want a 'real' Maine dining experience, try Moody's Diner. It's been around for decades, and actually still is owned by the children and grand-children of Bertha and Percy Moody. Good breakfast fare at very reasonable prices. I think all of Waldoboro eats here. The menu was full of all the food I loved as a kid. When you are... More

We have been to Moodys a few times and its always good. This is real home cooking. Mile high lemon meringue pie, very good seafood, fried tripe for the hard core Yankee, excellent chowders. Food snobs move on to Booth Bay cause I'll stab you with my fork. Fast service and reasonable price. New England Classic

We had dinner and breakfast there recently. For dinner I had the daily special that day which was Shepherd's Pie and it was quite good, if a little skimpy on the meat. My wife had the fish and chips and she was disappointed as the fish was in the form of fingers and you could not taste the fish for... More

The good was okay, nothing more. Moody's is famous, so it is busy, but not my favorite. My friends love the hamburgers, and they are locals.

Love a tacky roadside dinner that serves up good food, which is what Moody's delivers. We had the blueberry pancakes and were very satisfied. The coffee was also top shelf. The gift shop is an attraction in itself and worth a look!

I can't believe it has taken us this long to visit Moody's. Appetizer was great. Husband had the By Thunder burger, our son had chicken nuggets and I had the clam roll. Everything was very tasty and filling. Prices were good as well.

Was hoping for more from this diner on US Rt. 1. Just average fare, nothing like the diner food I had imagined. Service was fine but atmosphere did not remind me of an old fashion diner.

Best Reuben sandwich and coleslaw I've ever had. If you are driving up Rte 1 to Acadia around lunch time, do yourself a favor and stop at Moody's.
