This tiny little gem is a must while in the Washington County area of Maine. With only 5 tables and the feel of being in someones cozy home, the food and atmosphere is beyond compare. Our group tried several of their signature dishes, Local Scallops, Curried Goat and the Vegan Salad were all superb. Each dish displayed a perfect blend... More

Fare is fresh and varied (spinach and ricotta roulade with wild mushrooms sauce with variety of fresh vegetable sides was outstanding, as was sweet chowder made with coconut milk, tarragon, and corn picked from owners' garden that day). Fres veggie sample (oh my!) and then the desserts (oh me oh my! - get the creme brûlée or fruit tart or... More

The food here is always fabulously fresh, tasty, and expertly prepared! Sitting in the beautiful garden room, a few feet from where most of the super-fresh ingredients are grown is an extra added treat. Jesse and Alva make everyone feel incredibly welcome, whether this is your first visit or your 50th. Definitely our favorite place for a night out in... More

My husband and I ate here while on our honeymoon last week and it was a highlight of our trip. Not only was the food incredible, but the atmosphere (gardens, stone walk-ways, intimacy of eating in Jessie's beautiful home, etc) made it truly special. The Jamaican Jerk Chicken had amazing flavor (not spicy, but lots of spices/seasonings) and the halibut... More

We loved eating here! The setting was what really makes it special. Beautiful gardens, quiet setting, and an overall nice feel. We have never been to an in home restaurant, and it proved to be lovely. The owners are sweet, and gave us tons of information about the area and what to do. This restaurant is adaptable to gluten free... More

This restaurant is off the beaten path but well worth finding. The atmosphere is wonderful, the service was wonderful and the food was some of the best we have ever had. The chicken and fish were excellent and the fresh vegetables were cooked to perfection. For appetizers we had crab cakes, spring rolls, and corn chowder. All were great. The... More

We had seen this restaurant/home mentioned on Chronicle on tv down in the Boston area. Jessie was very communicative via email and we chatted quite a bit on the phone also. From our hotel in Bar Harbor, we drove up to the restaurant about 1 hour. The food was very good and different. Pricing was on the higher side (my... More

We absolutely loved stumbling on this wonderful, completely unexpected organic, gourmet restaurant with Jamaican specialties on a trip to Maine in August, 2013. We had the pleasure of speaking with the owner/chef at the end of the meal. He not only created the gardens from scratch, he carved the artwork displayed in the small dining room! There is something so... More

Positive comments by other reviewers are accurate, but they are charging New York City prices for rather small portions. For example, a delicious mushroom tart @ $9, was barely a taste for two of us. The goat curry was excellent, wonderfully spicy, but a small portion for the price. My wife's roulade was also very good and unusual. But $9... More

My wife and I were lucky enough to land a last minute reservation. Jessie asked me if I would be able to order dinner at that time but I didn't know the menu and didn't have cell service. We were nearby and had the audacity to drop in on these folks at noon time... Their home is the restaurant. We... More
