We ate at Beal's Lobster Pier at the recommendation of our hotel desk clerk in Bay Harbor. This is a no BS establishment that doesn't spend much on a fancy atmosphere. Instead they offer the best lobster options at *fairly* affordable prices. Open dining outside,...More

This was the best lobster roll we had compared to ones we tried in Freeport and Ogunquit. Why? The bread was warm and toasty, and you can choose the lobster plain or with butter or with garlic butter or cucumber dill mayo. We also had...More

Husband had the “regular” lobster roll, 5+oz per roll. He tells me it was the best he has had. I had haddock sandwich. Two huge pieces of fish, lightly battered. Both dinners came with chips and pickle. Beautiful setting, worth the drive..

This is the real deal. No fake atmosphere here! Delicious, simple food, quick service and reasonable prices. Sit on the pier while you dine and watch the lobster fishermen unloading their catches. I highly recommend the garlic butter lobster roll.

After a 7 hr drive from CT, lunch at Beal's was our reward. Simply outstanding food and a superb Harbor view. Our crab roll and seared halibut sandwich were very high quality and expertly prepared. At these prices, though, fries should be offered instead of...More

The lobsters were probably in the ocean that morning as this is an active lobster pier. The large tanks hold lobsters of various sizes and you get to pick the one you want. Several other items are available, both seafood and non seafood along with...More

Fresh lobster in a lobster a pound setting. Laid back atmosphere. Lobster was great and so were the mussels. Faster service than Thurston’s.

Decided to drive around the Island and go to Beal's Lobster Pier. Great choice food was outstanding, views beautiful, overall great lobster pier. Our only wish is that you could buy a whole pie at a different price than being charged for each single piece....More

Thank you for kind words. Sorry you weren't aware beforehand about the whole pie price. Your feedback is important so we can improve training. If you come back and join us, please say hello so we can help make it right somehow.. Enjoy your summer.

Eat, drink and be messy. A visit to Beal's Lobster Pier is always a highlight - a restaurant that's on the water, with an atmosphere that's down to earth. At our working lobster pier in Southwest Harbor, Maine, you and your family will have a blast watching the boasts coming in and the lobstermen unloading their fresh catch. Hear the creak of rope on the moorings. Catch the scent of saltwater on the breeze and enjoy the waterfront view while chowing down on the freshest lobster you can eat. (Don't worry, the napkins are on us!)
