Very nice family-owned and operated country restaurant. Filet Mignon and haddock entrees were good, but garlic mashed potato was cold and carrots seemed micro-waved straight out of the mini-carrot supermarket bag. Mushroom caps are recommended. Wait staff is very helpful and attentive.

Spring Hill is situated on top of a hill overlooking a pond, forest, and meadows. The dining room has windows that go around the room and we often have seen deer while eating. In the fall, the view is spectacular. The food is absolutely delicious with a wide variety of entrées, from German dishes to seafood to steak. Portions are... More

Even though this is a little out of the way, IT IS WELL WORTH THE DRIVE. Have been here at least 10-15 times since we discovered it thru Restaurant.com,The prices are good mainly because it is not a tourist trap. Large portions and ALWAYS cooked perfectly. There are at least 5 entree's I have tried and they are all equally... More

Went here for the first time for dinner and are we glad we did. What a great dining experience. We started with the special salad of the night (baby spinach, strawberries, blueberries, cara oranges, goat cheese and blueberry vinegarette) Yum! !We had the 12 oz sirloin and the macadamia chicken. Both dishes were delicious.Warm bread and a great martini topped... More

I live very close to Spring Hill but it's in a secluded location so my husband and I never think to go there for dinner. Recently our neighbors asked if we wanted to go out for a bite - so it was a spur of the moment dinner - and I'm so glad I finally thought of Spring Hill. Our... More

Wonderfully casual elegance. No pressure dinning with an interesting and well executed offering. One of the only places in Northern New England to have authentic German inspired items on the menu. Always worth a visit!.

It was a long drive from our home base in Wells. Be sure that your GPS is in good working order, because it's far off the beaten path. The dining room is large and plain. I got the impression that it's mainly used for occasions like wedding receptions rather than individual dinners. But the food and service were great. I... More

We arrived for 6pm reservations. We were surprised when we arrived to find only 3 other tables with people at them. Let's just say we were pleased for our sake that it would be a quiet night and we would actually be able to talk and enjoy each other's company. Our waitress was prompt coming to ask for our drink... Happened upon this by a fluke and had a very nice meal in a beautiful setting. We arrived on a Saturday evening and were told there were no available tables. Take home message: reservations are a must! We took a walk around the beautiful grounds before we left and the hostess chased us out in the parking lot saying they... More

I had never been to Spring Hill but had heard it was very good. We dined w/my brother & sister-in-law. We shared 2 appetizers- crab cakes which I was told were one of the best they ever had. I shared stuffed mushrooms which plentiful & delicious. My & my brother's entrees were the Filet & Shrimp. The shrimp were excellent.... More
