Took my Mom for lunch there on a blustery day. The food was excellent, and the staff was lovely and very attentive to two senior citizens. We really enjoyed it.

We made reservations and arrived with a party of 8. The waitress was terrific. However it took nearly 90 minutes to get our food. When we asked another waitress to check on our order - the manager/owner came up and his advice to us? "Chill out - what's your hurry? All this stuff is homemade - you need to expect... More

Spending a week camping in central Maine offers a great variety of outdoor experiences... we were three guys who went fishing, biking, kayaking, white-water rafting... but not a whole lot in terms of dining choices. Luckily for us, we found the Old Mill early in the week, and enjoyed it so much we went back three times. The burgers were... More

We had dinner here on a Saturday evening...asked to sit upstairs and they were great in letting us. The loaded nachos were brought out hot covered in cheeses and veggies with a side of sour cream and fresh salsa. Very tasty. I ordered the club sandwich with both ham and turkey...it was served on fresh local baked whole wheat bread... More

The pub is a bit hidden, but once found is worth the visit. Inside looks like what an old pub should, but on two levels. The deck outside called to us on a warm sunny day, with its view over the Kennebec. Service was good, and the food -- we had sandwiches and a salad -- was super fresh, with... More

A little hard to find, but this is a very charming place! The service was prompt and the food delicious. The only (very minor) complaint was that the table was wobbly. I have a feeling most were, as you could look underneath other nearby tables and see coasters underneath the table legs in an attempt to even them out. We... More

If you are anywhere near Skowhegan, Maine, make a point to stop at this lovely restaurant. With a very large and varied menu, we enjoyed a reuben sandwich and taco salad. Both were terrific. And don't miss the chocolate peanut butter cake...worth every calorie we consumed! The view from the deck over the river is enchanting so be sure to... More

Do not miss their burgers! Chose what you enjoy on a cooked to perfection. The other items on the menu and the specials are varied enough to please everyone at your table. The Kennebec River is your view, excellent service.

While enroute to a meeting, we stopped at the Old Mill Pub for some lunch and a break from the road. We were shown to a table on the deck overlooking the river which was very pleasant. I had the Reuben sandwich and Mrs. Sailorbear had a salad and a burger. Mrs. Sailorbear's salad was excellent, but the burger, which... More

We happened upon this well-situated place and were pleasantly surprised by the menu with its many options, the good service, the perfect level of buzz, and the great collection of historic photos. Nice to see young adults, families, and retirees all enjoying the same space. Loved our food choices too.

Thank Susan H
