The Jordan Pond House is among the most popular attractions within Acadia National Park. The food is generally good. The central location in the park is convenient to many other Acadia attractions. The scenery is fabulous. With a bit of imagination, lunch or afternoon tea...More

We were a group of 9 with reservations, got seated inside and separate from other diners. Service was slow. Waitress was rude. Seafood chowder servings range from some with no seafood, just potatoes, to a cup with nothing but seafood. Chicken salad was nothing but...More

This peaceful enclave within Acadia National Park is an absolutely beautiful place to have lunch, especially if you get here early enough to nab one of the outside tables with unobstructed views of the gardens and lake. Even though we came for the famous popover...More

Stopping here and enjoying the class popovers with coffee/tea felt like a pleasant step back in time, like it would have been perfectly natural to see families from many other decades seated at nearby tables. We had a corner table on the far side that...More

This place as a few flaws, like the way they handle the crowds, but the lobster stew and the popovers were worth the wait. We sat outdoors in magnificent weather, overlooking Jordan Pond (OK, it's not REALLY a pond, but a lake). The stew was...More

$11.50 for a hot chocolate and popovers! Our group of 4 came in for hot drinks and popovers. We thought it'd be worth the expense, but it wasn't. They bring you out the first popover and your drink. In our case, 3 people ordered the...More

We didn't make reservations. I had read a previous review where someone had said they were told by the host that they only take reservations for 1/3 of the tables and they save the rest for walk in's.
