We make the trip up to Bar Harbor every year and always make sure we stop at Jordan pond for pop overs. Never really got the chance to go for different meals; but has become a family tradition to sit out back on there picnic tables and have poppovers and tea!!

The Jordan Pond House has been in operation since the 1890's, but you would think it had opened just yesterday. The restaurant and the grounds have been meticulously maintained, and there is no way to really describe the natural beauty of this location without gushing. Acadia National Park itself is amazing, but this spot is absolutely breathtaking. And the food... More

VISIT: JULY 2015 We were told that this was a must do - so we did... Loved it. It was HOT and the service was slow - but we were on vacation and did not mind. The scenery was outstanding as was the food. The popovers and soup were amazing. On a hot lazy summer day - its fun to... More

We had a reservation and yet it was a little hectic getting seated - this restaurant is very large and there is a huge crowd every day. Our service was really, really slow and never came back to check on us (group of 8). The food was of good quality and pretty good, better than I would have expected within... More

Over the past 35 years, we have visited Acadia every 3-4 years and we always dine at the Jordan Pond House. The popovers are a must -- outstanding!!! All the entries are great as well. Seating options are inside, outside on patio, or outside lawn tables. We enjoy them all. Lines are long & meals can be pricey, but it... More

We had an enjoyable visit having a picnic lunch and taking photos at the lake behind the restaurant. Beautiful spot and a good excuse to visit the Pond House. The popovers are so delicious and I had a blueberry lemonade...YUM!

Why not do the touristy thing and enjoy a popover on the pretty lawn. We had warm popovers with delicious jam on a cool misty day just before our hike on Jordan Path trail. Crowded but the wait was only 10 minutes for a lawn seat and that is the place you want to be. Gorgeous views. Tasty treats were... More

I was very excited to eat at the historic Jordan Pond House, it was a beautiful day and we'd just finished the Jordan Pond Path hike. We got in without much of a wait as we timed the completion of our hike to end just prior to the busy time and we were seated with a lovely view of the... More

Eating popovers here is one of the most iconic things to do in Acadia. We came here after hiking the Bubbles and it was worth the wait to sit out on the sunny lawn, eat popovers, and drink blueberry lemonade. The quinoa salad I had as a side dish was one of the best things I ate that week. During... More
