Always a satisfying smile. Fresh ingredients lovingly and knowingly prepared. Crab quesadillas when they have them great!

Based on the reviews we took a day trip to El El Frigoles. Yes it is Cal Tex in Maine and some of the dishes were unique like my spicy lobster taco. Beans and rice were good and my husband's Carne Asada burrito was good but not quite up to all the hoopla. If you are in the area yes... More

We have visited El El Frijoles (LL Bean) several times and have not been disappointed. The food is tasty and hot and prices right. They have a large play area for children so bring the kids. You can also bring your own adult beverages and sit indoors or at one of the many outdoor table. Mike and Michelle have a... More

We decided to take a drive and visit some new country. I had wanted to try El El Frijoles since seeing it on a News story on Local TV. The setting was nice and for 11 AM on a weekday the place became quite busy. The food was fresh and tasty if somewhat over priced. The corn on the cob... More

We visit Maine often. Great state, great people. Wanted to try this local small eatery off the beaten path for yrs. Only 25 mins from the hustle and commercial hub of Ellsworth/Bar Habor , the drive takes you to the scenic Penobscot peninsula past blueberry fields and overlooks. Quaint setting among locals, fresh farmed salsa, salads, and best iced coffee... More

Family run. Literally (as they say on their website) "a take-out joint in a barn in the woods". There is seating inside for about 8. But outside they have picnic tables for kids and adults! And also a little covered area for those rainy days. Just...bring bug spray. Please. You'll thank me later. The food is phenomenal. I adored the... More

This is a clever restaurant run by creative, clever people. No, its not super spicy hot Mexican food, but its a blend of typical Mexican dishes with local crab, lobster, smoked salmon and fresh greens. All very healthy stuff. Space to eat inside or outside. And they recycle and compost respectably, too. Like Maine, this is Mexican food the way... More

El El Frijoles is a gem on the Blue Hill peninsula. Situated in a converted barn, this restaurant combines great food, family dining (which is mostly outdoor seating, at least when its above 40 degrees anyway) local ingredients (when available) and genuine Maine hospitality. The husband and wife team that run the show are just about the nicest people you... More

If you are up for a California/Mexican treat. look no further. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere relaxed and the food yummy. Try ALL the sauces. I love the burrito's and the mexican iced drinks.

El El Frijoles is a fun restaurant. My favorite dish is the carnitas tacos. You order inside, and then eat outside at one of the picnic tables under the trees, or inside a screened porch if it is raining or the bugs are too fierce.
