I usually stop into Sea Salt because of the good food. Living in OOB makes the restaurant a convenience play to go as well. I decided to stop in for a salad one day and found out that they had a new manager, Breck. He...was very congenial and one fact that amazed me was that has he talked with me, he eyes were contiously scanning to see how things were going. He had his pulse on the entire restaurant. If someone needed something he was right there to give a hand. GREAT Teamwork at Sea Salt. An extra special thanks to Michelle and Gabby! They love their job and you can tell. Looking forward to going back for seafood!More

nother great place near Old Orchard Beach to grab a fresh lobster roll. We asked when they get busy because there is a food truck parked right outside. They said dinner gets pretty busy with waits. The food truck is used for to go orders....Another great lobster roll I ate before remembering to take a photo. My wife had the oysters and her only complain was how small there are. or daughter had the pickled chicken bites. I could smell pickles as soon as the dish arrived. They were tender, moist, and flavorful.More

This restaurant came as a suggestion from our Inn Keeper. A one hour wait at the first come first served door went pretty quick. Fresh oysters on the half shell was a great start. I ordered the twin lobsters and they were delicious and affordable....However, my wife’s 1 1/2 pound lobster came about 20 minutes after mine, which was a minus. They close a 9pm and staff were leaving and her dinner still had not arrived. Lastly, if you know anything about Maine you know that outdoor seating after sunset is a bug fest. Coat yourself in Deet or try to get an inside table. Overheard our waitress argue with a customer, they said it had been an hour waiting for their food to arrive, waitress said “no it’s only been 50 minutes!” When you are seated ringside at Bugmania Xxii, 50 minutes is basically an hour, why argue.More

Traveling to visit friends in Maine, then on to Canada, we found the Sea Salt Lobster on a busy Fourth of July evening. After a short wait we were seated on the patio. Tasty rum drink and a nice local beer to start. Haddock chowder...and freshly shucked oysters as appetizers, then fried oysters and fried haddock and chips for dinner. All were prepared perfectly and everything was delicious. Very enjoyable evening.More

Our family of eight had a wonderful time at the Sea Salt. Capt. Dave was our server (although he told us he didnt have a boat) and made the evening totally enjoyable. The Stuffed Bake Haddock, Lobster Mac and Cheese, Gumbo and Fish Tacos were...outstanding. They had outdoor music and the drinks were reasonably priced and very good. Next time we are in the area we will absolutely go again.More

Great atmosphere, food, and drinks. The pimento cheese sip appetizer is excellent. The haddock salad and crab casadilla are both great as well. Highly recommend!

We were very satisfied with our meal here! Started with crab cakes which were fantastic. We ordered the salmon tacos and lobster macaroni, which were both awesome, and our 2 year old enjoyed them too. At the end they brought a treasure chest for our...daughter to select a prize which was a nice added touch. Would recommend!More

Clearly a local favourite. Casual atmosphere with live lobster. Great service, kid friendly. Loved the fiddleheads and lobster roll. Crab cakes were a little greasy but crab quesadilla was fantastic.

My wife and I stopped in yesterday. Have been here a few years back and had bad experiences but decided to try again. I tried clam chowder and clam cakes. Both were fairly tasty. Chowder was a thicker base which I prefer normally and although...the clam cakes were very dark thick crusted, they tasted good. The clams were very minced. They were out of the corn chowder my wife wanted so she went with the French onion soup which the waitress said was nice and cheesy top. She also ordered the crab cakes and a drink (Crown Royal on the rocks). When the soup came there was very little cheesy topping like you would normally get. She tried it and I tried it and it had an odd nasty taste. She told the waitress she couldn't eat it. Waitress apologized and took it away and came back to say she could substitute for a clam chowder which she did. There were two crab cakes for $15 which we felt was rather high. When we got the bill, we were charged $8.50 for the Crown Royal and $1.00 for the rocks What? My wife asked if they actually charged us $1 for the ice and waitress said no it was due to adding a little more liquor due to the ice. We didint ask for that and have never seen that before. Having ordered 1 drink and 4 apps the bill was over $50, pretty pricey considering what we got. Service was quick though not many people there. We will NOT return.More

We have eaten here often and been pleased..we ordered a take out last week end. It was far below the quality we were accustomed to. The crab meat roll did not even look like crabmeat and my husband’s salad was not fresh. I realize that...staffing is a problem and restaurants struggle but the quality should not suffer. We will not be returning any time soonMore

We stayed in Saco on the way up to Acadia in late September. Sea salt was recommended by our motel. We got seated within ten minutes of arrival. I had fish and chips (an old favorite) and my wife had a crab roll. Our waitress...was welcoming and helpful, the food was good, the beer was better ;-) and we enjoyed our dinner. Prices were no surprise, for the area.More

This was a great place. Large servings. Served very hot and fresh. May go again. Best yet in this area. Rest rooms clean, but could not tell from the inside if it was locked or not. Wished they had a baked potato option.

Let’s start with signing in and leaving our phone number and having the number written down incorrectly. 45 minutes later checking in and learning the numbers written down incorrectly. Giving the number again and finding the number written down incorrectly again.Hired help is less to...be desired. But you have to admit at least they’re working. Service is so so. Never got a refill on my drink, I never saw the dessert menu, wife never received her glass of water that she ordered with her wine. Wife ordered crabcakes which was OK but not sure typical of Maryland crabcakes. I ordered fried shrimp plenty of food to eat but average. Had a shrimp cocktail expected jumbo shrimp not worth the money that I spent which was $12 for 5 tiny shrimp.Again if you have to wait, and your number is written down, watch and be sure your phone number is written down correctly.More

The seafood place we were planning on going to was way packed on a Tuesday evening and I’m glad it was or we’d have never discovered this gem. Quick google search of “seafood restaurants near me” turned up the Sea Salt Lobster not too far...from where we were. The place was busy but not packed. We were able to get the last table in the “outside-but-enclosed” area when you first walked in. Service was super fast and all of the staff was super friendly. I had the Lobster Mac and Cheese and my wife had fried scallops. The Mac and Cheese was very different from any Mac and Cheese I’ve ever had, but in a good way. A combo,of three cheeses including a smoked Gouda. A light bread crumb and gently baked, it had the consistency more of an Alfredo than a traditional Mac and Cheese. It was excellent. My wife was quite pleased with her scallops. She reluctantly let me try one, and it was delicious as well. Lightly coated and perfectly cooked. This place is definitely on our list of places to return to.More
