Clams in chowder were gritty with sand. Needed a good washing. Plus, the soup was a tad watery. Lobster meat smelled weird. Tasted one small piece and spit it out. It tasted fishy. Lobster meat should not taste fishy. Also, it was dry. And, it...was hard to find the crab in the crab cakes. Onion rings were good, though. We will not be returning to Sea Salt.More

Ordered take out from here. Many places are closed this time of year. The lobster rolls were very good as well as the bun they put it on. Also had the calamari and that was very good as well. I will say food is not...as good as home (from NJ) but very close. When I went in place was very clean, everyone in mask and socially distanced, staff is very friendly. Would def recommend.More

We ordered a lobster roll to share as a takeout meal. This was my boyfriend's first introduction to a New England lobster roll. It was the smallest portion I've ever seen. I specifically asked when I ordered if it was a good size to share...for 2 people. The kid on the phone lied to me and told me, "Yeah it's a big size." It was tasty, but each half was 3 bites. Absolutely unbelievable. An embarrassment to Maine.More

Been here several times, and have always been happy with both the food and the service. This is the first time going since COVID-19 hit and taking that into consideration, I was more understanding of how restaurants run these days. We were seated quickly, at...an outside table near the parking lot, which was fine with us. We waited nearly 15 minutes for the server to come and get our drink orders. By then we had already decided on our meal requests so we opted to order everything at once. Our food arrived within a reasonable time (we had ordered a blackened haddock salad and grilled fisherman's platter to split). However, our food wasn't delivered by our server, it had been run out to us by another server. We immediately observed that our salad dressing was incorrect, there was no ketchup for the fries, no extra napkins that we had requested, and no small plates were provided as we were sharing. The other think we noticed was the grilled Fisherman's platter we ordered was very SMALL. Coming from Maine, a fisherman's platter is normally heaped with assorted seafood and fries, this "platter" was a single serving casserole dish with about 6-7 HALVES of average sized scallops (they were cut in half to make it look like there was more of them-shame on you!) and maybe 6-7 small shrimp. Fries came in a separate basket, which was fine. We assumed that our server would come back to check on us, but she didn't. We waited patiently for a few minutes and no sign of her. We decided to just eat what we could as we didn't want our food to get cold. Meanwhile my water glass sat empty. Our server was nowhere to be found. At this point, I was thirsty. The food itself was fine for what it was. The blackened haddock salad was good, the half-portion of seafood was pan-seared nicely, and the fries were well, fries ... Finally our server showed back up as we were finishing. She started clearing the table without asking if we were done. She saw my empty glass and automatically just took it away, not asking if I wanted anything more to drink. Then she attempted to take my boyfriend's half-full glass away. He kindly told her that he wasn't finished with it yet and to please leave it. She didn't bother asking how everything was. She obviously didn't care. She did try to offer the dessert menu which we politely declined as we just wanted our check. Upon returning with the check, I gave her my credit card immediately so we wouldn't have to wait another 10-15 minutes to get out of there. Once she returned with my card and the bill, we settled up and left. We are normally big tippers and always give more than the recommended 20%, especially with what's going on in the world today as servers are working harder than ever to support themselves. Today's service barely warranted 10% much less 20%, it was really disappointing. Maybe next time we'll just do take out :/More

We went to Sea Salt for dinner with our 11 year old granddaughter. It was a beautiful night and we ate outside at a picnic table. All staff wore masks as well as customers when they weren’t eating. As usual, the service was quick and...friendly and the food was delicious! Our granddaughter fell in love with the haddock- her first time trying it. We will return again and againMore

We ordered the haddock tacos with homemade chips, haddock dinner with sweet potato fries, and shrimp dinner with regular fries. The haddock dinner was a bit soggy along with the sweet potato fries. The shrimp dinner did not sit well with the person that ate...it. The haddock tacos were okay. They could have used more seasoning and sauce, even a little heat. It was fine to try it but unfortunately will be trying somewhere different next time we are in town.More

The first night we went there was apparently some confusion and we were not greeted by a waitress so after 10 minute or so we left. We understand things like this happen. We went the next night and I was so glad we did. The...lobster was amazing, nice size salad and our waitress was there to keep our drinks refilled and was great. I would recommend going here for sure, I can't wait to go back.More

OUR 3-4 th. time there. Great service, Esp. "Steph" our oringal staff member. waiter. Weekends can be a bit more wait but not all the bad either. The seafood was good perfectly to a Golden light tan. not heavy. Prices are as good if not...maybe a dollar so less then some places. The menu is very good variable for all ages. Very easy to get in and out for traffic. Plenty of Parking and lots of distance outside table and some covered areas. Indoor dining is available too .. If you are a seafood lover give them a try. I can't imagine anyone finding faults. ( but there is always someone that will). Again, try them.More
