We stopped off here the other evening for a treat and we were not disappointed. The staff are all very friendly and has a fun atmosphere about the place. The portions are huge but tasty!! I had a small black raspberry with Oreo sugar come (with rainbow jimmies of course!) and that was a bit of a struggle to eat.... More

Stopped by Martel's at about 6:30pm. There was no wait to order, the sunday and freeze were both delicious, and the staff was helpful and friendly.

Have a varity of ice cream, and it's very good, price is reasonable. but if it is in the evening don't sit at the picnic table you will get alot of bug bites.

Great regular flavors, and the specials are the best. Ask for "Maine Mud" to get my favorite! Their sandwiches are also great. And, hey, you can relax with a round of mini-golf in the back! A great place to just stop driving by, or a destination. I go for both!

Too expensive for what we got. 4 milkshakes and a small ice cream came to over $25. + they were asking for tips. The shakes were kind of thin (I ordered medium) not sure if that's normal. They also don't accept debit cards... Another $2 ATM fee. Meh. Should've just gone to grocery store and saved $20 by making my... More

Had a very nice experience here. I got the mocha chip in a waffle cone and my wife got the peanut butter with chocolate fudge. Both were outstanding! Even grabbed a frozen banana before we left, since I hadn't had one in years. The staff were friendly and very quick. Definitely a must-stop.

Proud to review this place! THE BEST ice cream, hands down! Eat on site, or take a quart to go! (I did both!) Locally made, hand packed, creamy goodness just waiting to be enjoyed by locals and tourists alike! If you love ice cream, DO NOT miss this stop! Route 1 in Saco, very near to Funtown/Splashtown amusement park.

I love going to Martel's for icecream. I love going to Martel's on my way home from babysitting. I love going to Martel's any time. Their fudge is great but their ice cream is out of this world. The banana ice cream is second to not. The banana yogurt is also excellent. I love the hot fudge parfait when I... More
