My wife and stopped in for a sandwich. Not busy yet quite slow (& we were not at all expecting fast food). Little ice for iced tea. We split a steak & cheese and an Italian sandwich. Steak & cheese was tasty though small and priced over $8. Italian was Genoa and provolone "with all the fixings" came out with... More

A sandwich shop with limited seating. Most people order for take out. Fresh ingredients and wonderful bread. Good selection of craft beers and sodas. Limited wine selection. Beer and wine bought cannot be drunk in store--for take out only. Do have wine tastings.

This place makes great sandwiches, I have only had take out there, service was friendly and fast. They have a good selection of wine there.

We stopped in for coffee and tea and were pleased. Owner was there and was very engaging. Good food and a solid selection of beer and wine with knowledgeable staff to discuss made for a nice stop in downtown Saco.

Stopped in on the recommendation of a local art shop down the block because we needed a quick bite for lunch before heading to a walking trail. Nice little place with some simple soups/sandwiches. Nothing fancy!

Combine a sandwich store with fine wines and Craft Ales and you have Vic and Whit's. We often walk here from our home to take advantage of the frequent wine tasting events (Look on the street for a sign) and are never disappointed! Wonderful service, knowledgable wine pourers, and great selection makes this a fun store to peruse. If you're... More

My first wine tasting! And it was Bubbly, for New Year's Eve! It was a wonderful event. Local folks, together, tasting bubbly! The gentleman who share the information about each of the eight wines was so informative. I learned what I liked, did not, and loved! Of course my favorite was the most expensive bottle! (How does that happen?). There... More

Vic & Whit's is a local landmark, occupying decent square footage in a historic brick building on Main Street in downtown Saco. After an impressive expansion and renovation some years back, owner Mark Johnston (a former several-time mayor of the city) can always be found in the kitchen preparing sandwiches or ladling up the day's soup special. Mark is also... More

This store has had its day in the sun. It has progressively gotten worse, the quality of food and declined while the prices rise. Just yesterday I got a simple Grilled Ham and Cheese (which they now call a panini) and a bottle of Poland Spring water and the cost was $9.50. The place is a cluttered shop, while they... More
