This is the second time I been there and it is a very good breakfast place, my daughter loved it too. She had the Blueberry pancakes, and I had the Bliziters and all was delish.

I had a Groupon so I went for breakfast. It was decent and a good value even without the Groupon. The service is really good and friendly!

I had breakfast this morning at the Golden Rooster. It's a classic diner, with great straightforward food, and quick service. I had the Daily special, a Texas Scramble, which is scrambled eggs and cheese served with bacon, ham or sausage on Texas Toast. I thought it was quite good. Great food, good ambiance, quick service.

We have ordered gyro take out on a couple of occasions from The Golden Rooster and it is very tasty. When take out, the french fries get a bit soggy since the styrofoam take out container entraps the steam of the gyro, but if you are hungry they will do, it is best to eat the fries on the go!... The service was excellent - unfortunately I ordered a spinach pie and a cup of avogolemono soup - both were disappointing. The lack of a spinach layer in the pie and the overwhelming grease in the layered phyllo forced me to return the meal and I opted instead for an english muffin with egg, bacon and cheese which was delightful.... We knew the locals favored this restaurant and we looked forward to a sumptuous breakfast. We were disappointed because my eggs were under cooked, skimpy hash brown potatoes lacked flavor, and ham looked like slices of canned ham. The server was very good and attentive.

My daughter attends UNE so we love to pick her up and try new places in the Biddeford - Saco area. We were not disappointed at the Golden Restaurant!!! It seats a lot of people at various table sizes. Service at this family owned restaurant was excellent. In our party we had the strawberry blintzes (yummy!), Strawberry and regular french... More

The Golden Rooster is the place where friends and families meet over a hearty breakfast and endless cups of java. This establishment has been a fixture in the community for generations of Saco regulars. Come on down an join the family at the Golden Rooster!

We stopped in here on Easter. I had a lobster omelette with hollandaise sauce with a side of homemade hash. It was tasty with great flavors. My girlfriend had a spinach, cheese and tomato omelette that she liked as well. Although the 33 dollar price tag was a little high. Luckily we had a $20 gift certificate to help fray... More

The breakfast omelets we always order are ok but the real problem is the price for each if you are looking for good food and not get ripped off on price try another place
