You can imagine my surprise as I looked at the menu and found a lobster roll for $8!!! Then they had a clam cake for $2! We were looking for a quaint quick place to grab a bit to eat since we had a toddler with us. Being from Boston, I am used to small lobster rolls being much more... More

We have been going to rapid ray off and on for over 40 years. it was a truck on the corner in Saco. Tonight not so good $12.60 for 4 dogs and a small fry. Orders are always the same 4 cheese dogs 2 plain and 2 with onions on the bottom. My husband hates onions so can you image... More

Stopped on the way through for a quick hot dog and fries. We ended up getting chili dogs, double burger and fries. This is not a "sit down" place - no tables or chairs here. You eat standing up at a shelf that runs along the outside of the restaurant along the windows. Food arrived hot and a fair amount.... More

I'm a huge In-n-Out fan from California and find Rapid Rays to also be a throughly enjoyable experience, though it may be closer to a Habit Grill or Sonic burger, only more fun. Walk in only, place your order, step to the side and tell the man what you want on your burger and watch while he puts it together... More

I have been going to Rapid Rays since it was in a truck. The hot dogs are perfect with the steamed buns made anyway you want. The french fries are hot and crisp. The hamburger are good. They are quick and it is fun to watch them cook the food. You can eat in your car or on a bench... More

We stopped in and enjoyed their gluten free bun, it is the best served gluten free bun I have had; it is steamed and moist. We grew up eating here but have not visited since being gluten free, but they are as good as ever and now gluten free.

Rapid Ray's at the corner of Main Street and Pepperell Plaza has been a landmark fixture for decades. It is known for its steamed hot dogs and other fast foods. Visitors to the area do well to stop by at least once to savor the local atmosphere of the city. Grab a few hot dggs and and chips and head... More

Good fast food with quick and friendly service. While we were there less than 10 minutes there was a constant flow of customers from the young and those young at heart. Son liked the Big One double cheeseburger. Me the lobster roll and clamcake. The hot chocolate is one of the best I've had.

What can be said about this jewel. Small menu, great taste, personable staff, quick service! I highly recommend the chili cheese dog, loaded of course with celery salt, the big one, loaded of course (ask for mayo), and clam cakes. You will NOT be disappointed as you stand in looking out the windows on to Main Street laughing with family... More
