Great Lobstah Roll!

We had one of the best Lobster rolls I have ever had. A little pricey but the roll was stuffed with big hunks and claw meat! Worth every dime!

Their seafood chowder is the best I've ever had. You can't go wrong with it. The lobstah roll is delicious too. The bun is filled with generous amount of lobster. I will definitely come back when I visit my parents again.

The iconic, eponymous Cafe, three-quarters of the way down Main St. has been a regular stop for us, for breakfast, lunch or dinner, anytime we were in Rockland for the last 13 years. It never disappoints. Always a hearty, uplifting and pleasantly filling experience. We stopped by the Sunday before 2016 MLK Day, around 10:30 am, for breakfast. It was... More

Hadn't been for awhile, but decided to stop in for a simple lunch of cafe style food. Toss up between the meatloaf; haddock fry; or fresh baked turkey with fixings which was advertised as their "Thursday special." Opted for the turkey. But just too much yellowish gravy (don't think it was homemade and a bit on the cool side), two... More

We always visit here on our Maine September trip but this is the first time I have tried the Seafood Chowder and it was that good that we came back the following night for another dose. Well at least I did as Deb enjoyed haddock and chips. We both had that great Blueberry soda they serve here. Looking forward to... More

I had a Russian sandwich and a cup of seafood chowder! Both were absolutely amazing! Service was good and their fries are hand cut!

As my wife and I were looking at a menu posted outside a Rockland restaurant, two ladies walked by and said that if we would like to go to the best cafe in town, where the locals go, it was the Rockland Cafe, just up the street a block. So we did. It was almost packed, but we were able... More

Went for lunch after 1:00pm during the week. The place was 1/2 filled. We could not get any service at our table. I watched 3 ladies counting out their tip money near the counter. I went up to see if we needed to order at the counter but was told someone would be at our table. After waiting 15 minutes... More

We are a group of 7 lobster lovers who cruised the New England recently. We had the lobster lunch in very port we visited. Out of 8 New England cities we visited, we all agreed that the Rockland Cafe served the freshest and tasty lobsters. The price is very reasonable for one whole lobster (1-1/4 to 1-1/2 lbs) served with... More

Great diner like atmosphere, in a cute downtown street, with food that is top quality. I had the Seafood Chowder, which is packed with just seafood, no potatoes or other filler to get in the way of a bowl full of shellfish, and fish. Fish cake was homemade and awesome too. Local crowd, Friendly service, Great prices, Many menu choices,... More
