My wife chose better than me in our 2 visits here. She had fish and chips on the first day and lobster on the next day. They both looked and tasted great. I on the other hand had seafood lasagna (which sounded good at the time and fried prawns which could have done with a spell in the tanning booth... More

Forget the fancy tablecloths or ambience! The ambience is the diner decor; the staff and the locals themselves with families, kids and elders in tow! Best prices in town and big giant portions. Had a lobster each for 16 bucks! Are you kidding me? After ordering, I saw the sign on the wall to get two lobsters for 29 bucks... More

Run of the mill local diner. Best lobster price in town but not overly large portions. Food was fair, service friendly.

We ate here after peak season in early November when some of the other restaurants were closed. We were looking for just a good lunch spot and the lady at Samoset Resort suggested Rockland Cafe as a good bargain for the dollar with good food and varied menu. She got everything 100% correct. I had the fried haddock which was... More

I always see this place open at 5am and it seems to be crowded. It's even crowded at night. Not my kind of place but decided to give it a shot. I love when "diners" make amazing, fluffy pancakes. Unfortunately these were "chewy" and I could barely cut through them with my fork. The bacon was equally "chewy". Just weird.... More

Diner atmosphere, and diner style food. Adequate portions, food was homemade, and very inexpensive for supper. We both had turkey dinners for $9.99 each! Was good. We are going back now for breakfast. Will go again for supper! We are on a budget vacation, so fits the bill.

Home made fries and great Cole slaw. Nice homey atmosphere. We got the lobster roll and were not disappointed.

This is our go-to restaurant every year. The seafood portions are big, and the prices are reasonable. The lobster lasagna is great. No atmosphere, but good food.

I enjoyed a fried clam strip appetizer- fabulous! The. I tried the haddock with the crab stuffing...very good. The veggies were also tasty, especially the green bean casserole. I was happy to end my meal with the blubbery cobbler. It was very yummy with two scoops of ice cream! It was amazing to watch how hard the servers work to... More

While at a convention in the area, we were encouraged to try the Rockland Cafe for lunch. What a blast! The wait staff was dinerish and very friendly. The prices were GREAT, for really good food. I had the seafood chowder, which was to die for, and in a huge bowl filled with seafood for $10 and fresh baked rolls.... More
