Love the cafe and always go for breakfast: it's bustling, there's great food choices and, yes, the locals eat here. There's lobster any time of the day, fish cakes as a side as well. You can make your meal as simple or complex as you like. Efficient and attentive wait staff who are incredibly patient. Unfortunately for dinner, one of... More

We have eaten here for years and never been disappointed. The cooking is continental-Italian, surprisingly innovative, and cheaper than many of the more upscale restaurants in the area.

Nice place with good food. Food is pretty straight forward no hidden ingredients. What is on menu is on your plate. Good portion s and the staff is great. Seem to be occupied by many locals so they must be doing something right. Seafood chowder was great. Go where the locals eat.

The title says it all! Creamy, NOT overspiced, NOT salty, with many large, identifiable chunks of seafood - "no onions or potatoes in this!" - is how the description reads. By far the best seafood chowder I've ever had! They also have a great price on their lobster dinners! This is a local cafe - not fancy, (but the themed... More

Looks like the locals like this place and you will, too. Great menu, earthy staff, rustic atmosphere and good food. We both had the lobster roll which was plentiful with lobster meat and a nice warm roll.

This place is not fancy but the food is good. I especially loved their seafood stew. The twin lobster dinner special is a good deal as well. Come hungry.

441 Maine Street, Rockland Maine 04841 Frequented by locals. Homemade everything - rarely crowded, typical Maine food, Inexpensive. Celiac friendly. Great for any time of day. Street parking, but not a problem.

No frills dining. Some of the best seafood we've ever eaten. The Lobster Pie is beautiful with a golden crust and an lobster relief and the filling is yummy (and so rich). You'll never break your budget, nor will you leave hungry. Or displeased. The food is always fresh and great.

My friend and I visited Rockland Cafe on a Sunday when many restaurants are closed. We had our hearts set on nachos, which of course are not on the Cafe's menu, so I settled reluctantly on a crispy chicken caesar wrap while my friend ordered a basket of fried bay scallops. Personally, I'm frequently wary of overpriced and/or underseasoned fried... More
