Having gone by this little gem in the past we stopped in for a quick bite. The outside is just what you would want simple, order sit at the sorta outside tables and enjoy. I got the Lobster Taco's and my wife got the lobster...roll. The size was HUGH and very tasty. Much more that I had imagined. I looked over the menu and it is one of the best,if this place had a full sit down restaurant it would be packed all of the time. Friends stopped by the day before and she got a salmon sandwich thinking it would be like crabcakes well it was a hugh salmon filet they were also quite happy. A MUST STOP PLACE WHILE IN ROCKLANDMore
Stopped into Claws for some lobster rolls on our way out of Rockland. The rolls were packed full of lobster with butter on the side. Delicious! They sell liquor too. Staff were super friendly. Open air seating, a beer and lobster roll ... nice way...to end our stay in Rockland!More
Lobster Mac and Cheese was not Award Winning, for $24.00 it was made with Penne Pasta and the tips of the claws and the sauce was horrible. The Lobster was suppose to come with a biscuit which never came with the meal until we asked about...it. The best part of the meal was the Bud Light.
During Covid not once did anyone come out and wash the tables, I saw a customer get up and do it himself.
The menu should be in a place where people can view it before hand since you need to distance yourself.More
Beat the crowd for an early lunch. We split two lobster rolls (one mayo, one butter) and both were excellent. A side of cole slaw is a perfect companion to the lobster that will fall out (you’re getting your money’s worth!). Truffle fries are nice...and crispy.More
Lovely surprise- we've driven by plenty in the past, suspecting it to be one of those tourist traps, but it came recommended by a local , and while it was jam packed when we arrived, by the time we finished we were among the only...ones enjoying a really lovely LATE lunch, with a good soundtrack to boot! (for those complaining about wait time, come late, like us - at 3, and you'll be fine). The Firecracker Shrimp were decidedly our favorite. the haddock good too and the Caesar Salad - outstanding! ; (calamari not real special) Summer Ale and Alagash white on tap, all COVIC cautionary measure followed. Great deal, and lovely visit. Thank you, Claws!More
It was pouring buckets, but the parking lot was open. So we gave it a try. The Lobster was luscious, but on a very ordinary hot dog roll. Because it was cold and rainy, we ordered two hot teas, which turned out to be rocket...science, because the cook put the cups in a slow microwave that took two tries to boil (or make hot-ish) water for the teas. Disappointed with the teas, no decaf. Smallish bag of chips went along with lukewarm tea, and lobster hot dog rolls The dinner was almost $60.00 by the end of our short order! We knew we were in a mecca Lobster place, but for a take out place, I think that was outrageous! If you're interested in Lobster it is an excellent choice, but all else that goes with it is Suspect. They had a heated seating area which was thankfully available..More
