We visited on a recommendation from a friend and are so glad we did! After taking a little walk around, we ended up asking for a table by the bar tucked along the side of the second floor. It had a warm, relaxed vibe - and bonus - we could order from the bar menu and restaurant menu. The food... More

Our reservation was made weeks before we arrived on a late September weekday evening for our 7:30 reservation. The hostess was distracted and nearly rude, leaving us to stand at the desk wondering what was wrong and whether she had our reservation. She returned to tell us that the table we'd reserved had just received their dessert and that there... More

We came to Maine to eat lobster but after a few nights we wanted something else. Primo's is as good as it gets, actually better than lobster. We had pollock the chef had caught with lemon capers that was phenomenal and saltimbocca that was to die for. We also had the farmers salad and onion soup. Both were indescribably good.... More

This was our second visit to Primo. I rarely give a five star review, but I can't find anything to complain about. The food, service and atmosphere were excellent. We will return next year when visiting the area.

My wife and I went there not sure what to expect and all I can say is that if had they been open on Monday we would have went back to dine there again. If you're staying in the Central Coast I would recommend to anyone eating here. We made reservations and the hostess offered for us to have a... More

Primo is why I stay in or near Rockland -- it's absolutely worth the trip. It's one of my top 10 favorite restaurants in the country. Great, energetic atmosphere (locals apparently love it) and consistently delicious food.

we had heard lots of good reports from friends who had dined at primo, but nothing could prepare us for the experience-every dish was excellent-as was the service-extremely busy, but everything was handled perfectly-flavor and freshness of the food was amazing-can't wait to go back

Eight of us had dinner here recently. There are relatively few fine dining choices in this part of the world, and our local guests rated Primo as the best. I chose chocuterie followed by duck breast. The chocuterie was interesting, several small samples with pickled vegetables. I tried an octopus appitizer that I liked a lot. The duck breast was... More

This was our third time at Primo, we expected to our socks knocked off. I was disappointed I love good steak tartare and saw online that they had it at the bar upstairs. I asked as I could order and was told yes. I was so very disappointed I was served a tasteless tough piece of almost ground beef. I... More

This is one of the best meals I have had in my life. I went with several of the specials that night that included the octopus appetizer & squid ink pasta with uni & crab. My husband had watermelon & pork belly salad & blue fin tuna entree. Everything was very creative & flavorful & included several things grown right... More
