My husband and I snuck an hour up the coast for a quiet weekend. Friends recommended Primo and I am so glad we listened. We were greeted at the door and given a tour of the restaurant. All the staff were so friendly and accomadting to our unique food allergy (sage, rosemary, and thyme). We ate a delicious meal in... More

This was my 4th time dining at Primo. The first time was 10 years ago and it's still as amazing as it was then. There were seven of us and we all had different things so there was lot's to taste. I had the Octopus salad to start and then the Duck, both were excellent but the duck was probably... More

Our hotel made reservations at Primo for Friday, November 25, 2016. We started out at the bar because our table wasn't ready (even though it was 5:30 pm, and the restaurant was empty). The women at the bar were very accommodating, the Margaritas great and the cheese/prosciuto plate was OK. That's where the good ends. We were finally moved to... More

We had dinner here, courtesy of the Berry Manor Inn, on our wedding night. The food was stellar, the service okay, which is why the 4 stars overall. We decided to try it again our last night in town, food was still amazing and the same waitress from the previous visit but with WAY better attitude and service! Delicious!

Our server, Alex was phenomenal and coupled with 2 great entrees and an awesome dessert, she made the evening for us and deserves recognition. My husband had a seafood dish that included 4 types of seafood, sorry do not remember name. I had the handrolled ricotta cavatelli with grilled primo chicken, wild mushrooms, butternut squash, tat soi, and savory and... More

Melissa Kelly is a genius in the kitchen. This 2 time James Beard winner creates amazing dishes! We love the fact that most of the menu comes right from the Primo organic gardens, their farm and the local fisherman. A real commitment to local ingredients. Price Kushner is a phenomenal pastry chef and ALL the desserts are delicious, but our... More

Given distant recommendation from colleague but knowing the $$$ I was looking forward to a very special meal that was worth it. Half the pork was inedible fat and not particularly special. The Chicken marsala was with one piece of flatened breaded chicken... what????!!!! I could have done better at Kentucky Fried Chicken frankly. Service was exceedingly slow -- we... More

This place is amazing. Much of the produce it serves is grown in large fields right behind the restaurant. Gorgeous vegetables beautifully prepared. I had fish...super. My husband had steak...perfect. Our daughter and son-in-law had pasta and veal, respectively. Both dishes received raves. We ate upstairs near the bar. Very pleasant setting. Wait staff was incomparably good. Every aspect of... More

It is truly sad to witness the very serious decline of this once excellent restaurant. We've been several times over the past many years and have always had at least a very good experience. Our recent experience at Primo was dreadful on many levels, indeed shockingly so. We arrived a few minutes early for a 7:30 reservation and were told... More

We chose to eat upstairs in the bar area and had a fabulous meal! We enjoyed the option of ordering smaller portions rather than the main menu options.
