Our New England cousin treated 13 of us to a celebratory dinner at Primo my mother's 75th birthday and an overdue reunion of American and English cousins. It was a perfect setting for the gathering, a semi-private room upstairs in the restaurant, quiet enough to chat but still within the buzz of this popular destination. We devoured the menu -... We arrived at a busy time but were able to sit on the porch as we waited to be seated. The food was one of a kind and we all ordered different entrees so we could each sample more interesting dishes. No room for the tempting desserts but the surprise home made marshmallow with passion fruit brought to us topped... More

Had a terrific dinner! Expectation was high based on its reviews, but they were met. Excellent food, good and friendly service, great wines, lovely setting.

We have dined here 3 times, always ending up in the unreserved upstairs area because the regular dining room books up days if not weeks in advance (fair warning). The downstairs looks like typical white tablecloth formal dining. The vibe upstairs is relaxed and warm, whether in the bar area or in one of the various separate rooms. One advantage... More

We were a group of 8 in an upstairs room. Service was wonderful and personal. And the food was everything we had been told it would be. Some had been to Primo before and some were there for the first time. All 8 foodies left happy.

Primo's has to be one of the best restaurants I've been to in a very long time. The food and drinks are outstanding. Every meal is memorable and every bite savored. Recently I had ordered the duck and I have to say it was one of the best meals I've had out. The other night I tried the pizza that... More

We were staying in Rockland and had 2015 reservations. We arrived early and unfortunately we were seated about 15 minutes past our reservation time. Dinner went promptly once we were seated. We were greeted in a professional and welcoming manner. Once we placed our orders, my husband and I received our salads in a timely manner. Our main courses also... More

We have eaten in many high-concept, high-end farm-to-table restaurants owned by famous chefs in large cities, but finding one in the village of Rockland, Maine was unexpected. The chef owns 2 other locations in Orlando, FL and Austin, TX. Reservations are apparently far in advance, but we showed up right at opening to sit upstairs where they take no reservations,... More
