Had a nice time at first. It was good fun with the country music and vibe. Ordered some drinks which was a whisky and a water and the barmaid made a mistake and served a whisky mixed with water. We asked for this to be...corrected and we were treated incredibly rudely. We both felt incredibly upset and the barmaid was very confrontational and made us feel very uncomfortable to the point were we thought it best we just leave. I don’t recommend anyone to visit this bar as they made us feel incredibly unwelcome.More

Shots are half full and drinks are weak and expensive. View behind the bar used to be better too. Bacon could have fixed this

As a rustic alternative to more pretentious rival bars in the Old Port, this odd place was a bit off the beaten path on a weekend late afternoon. Seating was indoors or on an outdoors deck. A digital display inside listed beers/ales on tap and...indicated each barrel’s degree of fullness. Out of perhaps 20 entries, a half-dozen were tapped out. The lower ABV option I was left with was nothing special. It came in a small, red, plastic cup – great for landfills, but not for Planet Earth. Service was fast and friendly. Carnival-style eating at the semi-circular bar was unusual and awkward. Country music videos played on wall-mounted monitors. No pandemic protocols were in evidence. Clean restrooms had unusual sliding doors for both cowgirls and cowboys. I liked the music I heard here; I disliked only the lame parody of country culture.More

Entitled bartender yelling at everyone to sit down. Could be more polite. You can't stand up for one second. Bad bad service. sorry but you are NOT Coyote Ugly material so get off the bar, so embarrasing!! Blonde bartender pouring shots into peoples' shot cups...AND MOUTHS while standing on the bar. Giving away free liquor! Where is the liquor inspector??? do the rules not apply to this place? how are they open? They also ran the credit card and added a 20% tip without us even seeing the bill. Stopped by here looking for some beers while wandering close to my hotel. The bartender was friendly, the beers were reasonably priced, and at some point, bacon appeared in front of me as if it was brought from heaven. The only downside to my visit...was the kitchen was out of service besides the bacon, so eventually, I had to leave to find food.More

This place was a blast!! Great music and videos playing in the background creates one of the best vibes in Portland. Crazy, fun options for barstools. Swings, saddles and more. Attentive staff and fairly priced drinks. Be sure to check it out of your in...Partland. Cheers!More

They serve free bacon for happy hour. This might sound good but you are not doing yourself a favor. You keep reaching for that piece of bacon while gulping your drinks. Good for their business but not good for your health. Country music played in...the background was excellent tough.More

Country themed with surprise seating opportunities make this a must stop when in Portland. Best of all is the free bacon funnel baskets that come during happy hour with your drinks! Very friendly crowds with video screens highlighting country music and guests singing along! Actually...family friendly and limited bar menu.More

Found this place down a side street, couldn’t resist going in because the bar stools are hilarious, you can have a ladies bikini bottom or a horse’s ass lol had good beers on tap, bartender was friendly and then they served us a little basket...of fried bacon during happy hour....would definitely go back.More

We were just wandering in Portland and happened upon Bonfire. What a fun place -very laid back. Bartender, Alexis, was GREAT - so nice! We really enjoyed it and will go back next time we're in town.

A good friend agreed to meet me last Wednesday night and suggested Bonfire since it was only several hundred feet from my hotel!! There was a sign outside stating "free bacon" ..... I don't think I've ever seen a come on like that before!! Sure...enough, we sat down and the bartender placed a container full of bacon in front of us. This is really a place for drinks but does have a food menu although I can't attest to the food quality.More

Roaming around Portland and we found this fun little country bar. Definitely made us feel a little more at home and seemed like a fun bar to finish the night in.

Stopped here for Happy Hour. First time here. Really enjoyed it. Lively and great pickle shots! Also for happy hour, they give out free BACON...tons of it. We opted not to try it, but looked good...just not so healthy.

My sister and I recently visited Portland, Maine, and were so happy to stumble upon this awesome restaurant. Their Happy Hour has free bacon - what could be better? The atmosphere is quirky and fun, and the servers are very friendly and welcoming. We had...the $3 cheeseburgers (we put our free bacon on top and had lots left over!) The food and drinks were reasonable and delicious. I will definitely place this on my list of places to return on my next visit!More
