Caiola's is a neighborhood restaurant located in the West End. It was located 5 minutes walking distance from our B&B (West End Inn). Wife and I enjoyed an excellent dinner (chicken marsala) , wine and desert. Friendly, cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Farm to table. You can't get any fresher then this. The staff and food are on point. If you're in Portland you have to go there.

There are so many good restaurants in this city and lots of slow food/ farm to table chefs. BUT this chef delivers inspiring tastes in inventive ways at a reasonable price. Not a huge wine list but certainly fine choices to accompany the culinary deletes. Don't be afraid to order several or more appetizers to share so you can taste... More

OK, so Caiola's is ' in my hood ' (and City) but honestly, it is worth a visit. I don't go often, it is not an inexpensive (and not the priciest) restaurant among the many many good ones in town- but it really holds up there with the best of them. I wanted to sit on their nice deck out... More

My husband and I walked all over Portland today and were looking forward to a good dinner. What we got at Caiola's was that and so much more. The food was exquisite. I only wish I could have eaten more. My husband had the soup and it was very good. I had the little gem salad and the gorgonzola salad... More

This is a small, friendly restaurant with very good Italian food. The plates are not the typical Italian pastas and the combination with seafood was great. The service was also fast, much appreciated when you arrive hungry and thirsty after a long drive!

My company tried to book a large party of 10 in their private room. I receive a call Friday (the function was Monday) saying that the restaurant will suddenly be closed. We booked this weeks ago. We were given 1 day notice prior to the weekend that we had to change our plans. They then offered that in order to... More

I had paella and it was so salty it was not edible...I'm not sure what happened but for 25+ dollars for an entree I expect to be able to eat it. The salad was good, the service was good...its a cute place overall.

Caiola's was recommended by our innkeeper and had we stayed longer in the area we would have gone back again! A small but varied menu and great service. Nice drink and wine selection. The panna cotta with lemon curd and basil ice was the best dessert I have had - just as our server indicated. A nice vibe with a... More
