Busy, busy place with good reason. It's delicious! Famous for their milkshakes and fries, but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. During nice weather don't rule it out due to the crowds....call in your order and pick it up to enjoy along the waterfront. You won't be disappointed!

We had walked the trail along the East End waterfront and had worked up an appetite. Duckfat was conveniently close by and we decided to give it a try since we had yet not been there. There was a 20 minute wait despite being 2:30PM on a Monday. With a buzzer in hand we killed some time exploring Micucci Grocery... More

What we did end up ordering we enjoyed but the selection is small. My boyfriend is lactose intolerant so choices for him were limited even further. Service was very friendly. And food is well prepared. Possibly a better option for lunch than dinner.

While in Portland for the weekend,we ate here twice! Knowing we were going to Portland, my husband and I were dying to return to Duckfat. Being that it was January and not July like our last visit, it was easier to get in. The place is small, so be prepared to be close to other patrons. As for the food,... More

We were traveling to Portland. My husband had read about Duckfat. It was our first stop when we arrived in Portland, Maine. It was the best fried potatoes we have ever eaten! We sat at the front, able to look out onto the water and see people sitting outside. The outside seating was all occupied and it would have been... More

Hard to get in without a wait. Terrific paninis, soups and salads. Nice local craft beers and wines. Worth the wait to get in. Fries are popular item.

I can't get enough of Duckfat fries. You really do notice the difference when they're fried in duckfat (where the restaurant gets it's name) and they are DELICIOUS! There is very little seating, but you can order takeout so you don't have to wait around for a table.

This is another one of those restaurants that everyone wants to go to. At lunch and dinner there is always a bunch of people waiting to get in. The seating is minimal inside. The fries are good, but that's it. They are good fries. Cooking them in duckfat is unique but doesn't change the taste. My last visit was ok.... More

Hands down the best fries I've ever had. This restaurant has an eclectic menu with simple flavorful dishes. 5+ for the atmosphere, friendly staff and vibe.
